What do you mean the big end of the rods?Logan76 wrote:If your crank journals are all still shiney and nice, you may want to take it to a machine shop just to have it checked out, but I would re-use it, and check the big ends of rod's out also.

there isn't any deep cuts, its only just scuffed up..if I JUST polish it, can i just use my oem bearings?91SilviaKs wrote:depending on the damage, itll prolly polish out....but even if its machined you can just get oversized bearings....
And the pickup bolts right up to the sr?Logan76 wrote:When you buy a new oil pickup and pump, but the pickup from an S14, they have a bigger opening and were re-designed a tad.
If you want a nice running stock SR, I would get your crank issue sorted out and the correct bearings, you may want to pick up another used OEM rod for that cyl. Just a new gasket kit + ring kit and a quick hone would probably throw that thing back together nicely. Have your valve seals replaced while you have it apart too.
best as i can...lol91SilviaKs wrote:you getting things straightened out huh???
Thats the vent for the crankcase, it connects to the valve cover.safin wrote:
