Yeah man, sorry that happened... kids do really stupid things sometimes, and it really sucks to have to deal with it.
Still, I dont think you should let something like this go unchecked. Make sure you have friends to get your back (dont be stupid), and confront the kid about it. Make sure you're not getting into something you dont want to deal with (is he the kind of kid who will carry a knife or even a gun?)... just be careful how far it goes, ya know?
You might even want to consider getting the police involved if you're really worried that he's gonna take it to the next step. Either way, you need to protect yourself somehow... Carry yourself well and fight back when you need to, just pick your battles well man.

my roommate was dealing drugs and I told him to quit and he got all pissy and we had a scuffle, I wasn't gonna fight him since I planned on pressing charges from the first time he hit me, so I just turned around, grabbed his face, and shoved my thumb into his eye socket... it made a popping noise and went in down to the joint, and he dropped like a little girl.one of the most satisfying things I have ever done. And he was a whiny nasally pot dealing whigger thug with his *** hanging out of his jeans, and unlaced white work boots, and percings all over his face.

yea, it does suck. especially when there really isnt anything you can do.I got jumped before, one night hanging out outside the 711 when a couple kids from like 4 towns over came up just trying to start trouble..i had headphones on so i guess they wanted to steal them...there was like 4 of them and like 7 of us...ends up after words, and one of them wanting to 'fight me one on one', hits me w/ a billy club upside my head and knocks me unconcsious, then a kick or two while i was down (dont remember those), and i guess went through my pockets to see if i had money...i guess i came through a couple minutes later w/ a bloody nose and side of my head hurting...i never even saw the club, he just pulled it out and hit me, my friends told me thats what he hit me with....None of my friends did anything, exept write down the plates and call the police, lol...sucks for me, only reason i know they are from a few towns over was from when the cops ran the plates, but nothing ever came of that, and i dont know if they even did anything...
But it did teach me a lot, and i feel you gain knowledge from all experiences...dont have to necessarily get revenge on that person, just prepare yourself for the future...work out, avoid situations that may result in injury, be safe.

My opinion...if you cant handle it on your own, you shouldn't be fighting them. Sure, bring a close friend or something, but dont expect them to jump in with you unless something grossly unfair happens. I AM sorry you got busted up, but at the same time it'll heal, and now you learned a valuable lesson: when someone's obviously pissed at you, watch your back for a while. You let your guard down and it got you a busted mouth, next time keep an eye on whats going on around you 
yeah my ex girlfriend's boyfriend was all jealous of me and he walked up to me at a fair one time and started hitting me in the face, and I knew there were hella cops around so I just stood there, and then a cop walker over and put his *** in cuffs and took him away...the thing that pisses me off is that I was walking with my older brother, who is like 6'6" and 250 lbs or so, and he didn't even pull the guy off me.But weapons, like where you got hit with the club..thats where **** goes wrong. I had a knife in my pocket when that guy hit me at the fair, and a knife on the table when **** went down with my old roommate, but when you pick up a weapon you turn what could take a couple hours to walk off into a felony jail sentence...

Yeah, and some punk *** from "any big city" should come out to rural alabama, kentucky, or west virginia, and see how long it takes him to get his *** kicked.
Where I went to highschool we had plenty of rednecks, and several times some wannabe thugs would move out to the area, and 2 or 3 of them stepped in my high school once, out of my high school once, and never came back. This one time some dude with a shaved head moved out from chicago and starting talking **** about how he had a gang and carried a gun and had a lb of weed in his car. This crazy redneck dude, the first day that thug was at my school, told him to quit talking **** cause he didn't wanna hear it. The thug was like "I'll bust a cap in your ***, homie" and thats all mark needed to hear, he beat the living **** out of that thug, fair fight, one on one, and in the end he had him in the ground, kicked all his teeth out, and told him to bring his gang and he would kick the **** out of them too.
I'm just saying, you obviously haven't ever been to "kentucky" or any places like it, or you would know that if you run your mouth around here you'll get your *** kicked just as easily as anywhere else.

Now i dont condone destroying property, but here's an idea.Carry one of those spring loaded impact punches. U know the kind u use to put a mark in sheet metal before u drill it? Next time u see the cuban kid in his car, run up to it and hit that against his side window. Blows up instantly, That will get his attention and an instant fight started.

In your situation, I'd be going to find whoever told the cuban kid you didn't like him in the first place. Take out the instigator. The odds are that if the scenario you were in is typical, there might not even have been a third guy who told the cuban kid that you didn't like him. If there wasn't, obviously the cuban guy was just looking for an excuse to fight.
In the future, if someone is coming at you... you need to call them on it, ASAP. There are certain things that need to be handled the first time through. As other people here have mentioned, you don't want to wait for them to get other people involved.
Once other people are involved, the situation is way beyond your control. Trying to go back at them is stupid. If you didn't even recognize the guy who split your face, the odds are good that you have no idea who else he might know. You could easily find yourself involved with a whole bunch of people, you'd rather never ever met.

2 reasons i wont.
1 which is the main reason... its not my style.. thats the ***** way out, i wont let any ****er get away with sticking me or getting some huge **** to bust my mouth open. the cops were asking me at the hospital and i told them nothing, i told them i dont want them involved, they also asked for a location and i refused, i told them its my friends new house and i dont know where or how to get there. Going to the police is a ***** way out especially in a fight. i want this ****s blood now and im after it, and i wont stop beating his *** till i have his blood on my knuckles.
and 2, my friend does not need cops near his house, and i wouldnt do that to him, he is on probation and doesnt need any police drama now, because if he stays clean for 3 more months he will get off a year early.
all will be handled.. im not letting this slide..

Sucks you got beat up. But if you go after him, it'll only make things worse. That big black guy will definately come back for you, and probably with more friends. Your friends will be involved too, since that's where you were hanging out the first time. They know where to find you man! And you say you don't want to involve Johny Law but, if you get busted whooping the kids *** you'll be far worse off than pressing charges now. I suggest you find some new friends that aren't in trouble with the law, gangsters, and huge angry black guys who obviously aren't afraid of you and your friends. The only way you'll win is to walk away or beat him legally.Otherwise you're just asking for worse to happen later down the road.
