--And if I'm not mistaken doesn't the N1 dual and the regular N1 have 3" piping. But on the dual it splits into 2 2.75" tips?..or something ALONG those lines?

ok so if i'm goin turbo than i should get a N1 turbo cat-back with the 3in pipe and then through in a 3" down pipe and test pipe? would this be a good setup with fairly good clearence? is anyone running this setup? and who makes test pipes for the S14?

i'm not a newbie to cars, just new to turbo's....

I have heard that N1 duals are just as good on turbo setups...

unlike most, i kinda like the big fat coffie can look.....and i'm sceptical on the duals for a high boost turbo application, not to mention having every joe blow asking why i got such small tips for a turbo.....i realize they may be just as efficent just don't see the point....which is cheaper?

Yea the dual n1 works fine with turbo setups. A guy here in orlando is using the dual n1 on his sr'ed s13(red car on enjukuracing.com)almost always the car of the month.:) I've seen him make a few runs at the track, car runs fine.

Cheaper is not exactly the best way to go with a turbo setup.... hell if you want to go that route get it custom made... the dual can flow more air the the regualr n1 i think... just because the tips aren't friggin huge doesnt mean it cant flow good amounts of air... two tips at 9 cm in diameter each is quite good..

that's what I thought.. but in any case... I will be getting my SR20 eventually... and when I do.. I won't need to get a new exhaust.. which is a big plus... and I definetly will NOT be boosing high or anything. I want the SR for me and I don't want to build it up THAT much anyway. so for what I want... N1 duals were the perfect choice.. that was for me.. but people can do what they want. I took in consideration all the exhausts and weighed them out and came out with the duals

Black let me know how they sound... like how loud they are at different rpm, and you got the 2.75 diameter piping right?

Does the fact that the GT-spec is a one piece design do anything to improve performance?

alright.. I just installed my N1's this morning. I didn't do it at home. I went a shop where one of my friend works. I used their lift to lift the car up high (which is a lot easier to work with rather than having to be on your back and crawling under the car.) in any case.... I forgot my camera and I didn't want to go back for it. so sorry guys, I don't have any installation pic's. I came straight to work after that so I didn't get a chance to take pictures as of yet. I will be taking pictures tomorow morning and poct them up here.... I'll prolly start a new thread sicne no one will know I got it installed.. so look out for the pic's... and let me tell you this.... the exhaust is AWESOME!! it is a work of art and it performs really well 2! =)

you know.. the part where people say is like 2.5.. I think it is bigger than that... the part where it is single before the resonator... it still is huge pipe... then it cuts off into 2 smaller pipes... don't let anyone else tell you other.. this exhaust ROCKS!!! you will definetly feel the pwer from it and it sure does sound like I got a V8 under the hood!

OR.... we could raid Apex1's factory with submachine guns and flashbangs and quickly make some s13 n1 duals and steal them.... then... we gas the place with knockout gas that leaves a hole in their memory so no one knows what happened...

that was definetly a auto... there was no drop in rpm between shifting... it was too slick.

The single pipe before the resonator is 3", then branches to two 2.5" pipes. It is awsome and it is massive. I wish i would have taken side by side pics of the factory and dual n1. I was very surprised at its size when i got it.

Are you sure of that? i can't seem to find the specs of the pipe size anywhere.....all i can find is that the two canisters are 120mm each with 90mm tips....can't find offical specs on the pipe size, if it's 3" then great, but i'm pretty sure it's only 2.5....

No Black is right about the size of the piping...

However if you speed shift a car, it doesn't drop in rpm either... or if you can shift really quick at the right rpm range it wont drop off like a normal car... i did a wicked one the other day... my clutch foot and my shift were at the same time and it was obviously in the right place at the right rpm because my friend was waiting up the street and he said it sounded auto when i did it... pretty difficult to do consitently...
