yeah, they are, people tend to hate on mustangs because there are so many, but there's so many for a reason.

I want a new Mach 1...

I really like the concept car for the new mustang. Very nice looking indeed.

I recently saw that new '03 Mach 1's were going for a really good price, in preparation for the '04s I guess. I'm a little wary of Ford, but the Mach 1 sure seems to be a hell of a lot of car for the money. I was very tempted to buy one, not that I *should* buy a new car right now.

I'm a sucker for a real shaker hood scoop

for the money, I think it's a great deal, tuned suspension and I think 310 or so hp for a little over 30k I think.

I'll take mine in the orange color.

It kinda surprised me you ended up with a moosetang instead of a Nissan as you seemed to be a true 240 fan. I remember reading that you were praying for your old car to die so you could go looking for a 240. C'est la Vie. Enjoy your new car.

lmao!!!! yea i was wishing it would die so i could get a nissan but that was when i had one in mind. but he sold it two days before the transmission lined blew on the thunderbird. but we fixed it and now we are either gonna sell it or give it to my uncle. maybe one day i will get a nissan. but i love my stang noone drives it but me. i let jay drive it once and my dad drove it once other than that the only butt that goes in the drivers seat is mine. oh and yesterday as i was leaving school i was playing around witha friend of mine and acted like i was goingt o spin teh tires but decided against it. well this one guy goes it can't spin teh tires, wrong thing to say. i left him a cloud of smoke. so either he is a complete dumba## or just wanted to see if i could power brake it. i could hear people cheering as i went by. so it doesn't make a diffrenceto me.

As he pulls a rabbit from his hat???

I'm personally not a big V-6 Mustang fan, but Rose's car sounds a whole lot nicer than what I drove when I was a teenager. The new Mustang concept is not bad looking either, but there are a lot of other cars that I'd buy before it.

If bullwinkle were to pull a rabbit GTI out of a hat while driving his "Moosetang" I would be highly amused. Seriously the new v6 mustang is a good ride for a teenager. Good power, but not a huge amount. Though definatly more than my first car.

I like to think of V6(V8's too really...) mustang's as girls cars anyway, so it's appropriate:D

I kinda of agree with you about the V-6 ones, but I'm not sure I agree about the V-8 'stangs. Those new supercharged ones with 390hp are guaranteed to keep their males owner's mullets flying straight back. (snicker)

Hmmmm....I wonder. Did Ford make the brand new Mustang's engine or did Mazda make it?

it's all Ford I believe. Some of that DOHC goodness in the Cobras.

it could've been more than just mazda though, like Jag or uh...god there's so many and I can't remember anymore, pretty sad...

I know what you mean about the V8 cars Bubba, but it's hard to shake the car's original image even as hard as Carroll Shelby tried.

they lost it for a bit in 69 and up until 73 (haha let's laugh at Skwerel!!)

the Fox body wasn't too girlie though, the body after that and on however have something of a femine aura to them, can't really explain it.

man I really want a '69 boss or Mach 1... or a new Mach 1! something about the shaker just makes it look like a beast...

Yeah, I'm not a big Ford fan (owning a Tempo kind of ruined the brand for me), but there is *something* about the new Mach 1. Sure, it's a bit errr... "big boned" at almost 3500lbs, but you can't argue with 305 hp and 320 ft lbs of torque. That should be enough to blow the mullet right off my head!

Errrr...what was the topic again?

Oh, yeah. Congrats on your new car, Nissanrose. Like another poster said, it's a hell of a lot better than what I was driving when I was your age (the vile Tempo).

The motor in my old Tempo was tough as nails too. Unfortunately, the motor ran long after the rest of the car went to **** (esp. the electrical system).

I'd certainly take a Mach 1 or one of those Ford GT's if someone would be nice enough to buy one for me. :D

I honestly hate v6 mustangs. I don't see why anyone would buy one. It's like they were too much of a **** to buy a v8 like a real man would. I have destroyed many, many v6 mustang owners who thought they were the **** in my 240, and my 240 is by no means at all fast being it is stock.

nope, haven't had the money to mod it yet, and it's looking pretty ghetto right now, think I have some low quality pics though

yup

you can't see all the dents in the hood or the faded paint:D the previous owners suck, hell I saved it from a guy named Woody...

1700 dollars for some *****in' performance (well, everything but accell anyway...) and comfort though

There's a lot more to a car than the motor. That's Fords problem.Ford's build quality is inferior, the materials they use are cheap. Most of their car models have below average reliability records, Add to that many of their models haven't been developed much since they were introduced, except for cosmetics. The one exception is the F150. They sank a lot into that recently. Let's see, they wasted a ton of money gobbling up foreign manufacturers instead improving the cars they make domestically. Ford should be absolutely embarrassed with the Focus. I believe that car broke the record for government ordered safety recalls. Want more?

I think Ford is capable of building very good vehicles, I think the F150 looks promising if they don't skimp. But the V-6 mustang is not not one of Fords best efforts. Sorry.

yeah, my driver's seat is broke and the sunroof is all screwed up...

I'm just saying that the V6 Mustang is not a bad car for reliability.

all the new Fords I've been in also feel cheap in the interior department, so do hondas, but man, the Focus and new Mustang just don't feel nice at all...

Altiman, 190k miles and 1200 depending on the condition seems like too much to pay, that's a lot of miles on it...

mine is currently at 156k on no rebuild and doesn't blow any smoke.

I'd maybe pay that much for a parts car, especially if it was a 5 speed (5.0 T-5 swap oh yeah...) The motors aren't too easy to come buy for them.

I almost got an SC for 1k with 136k on it. Body was rough but the interior was good and it ran well.

I like the styling on them, but feel the whole collector's thing because they had it way overpriced for what you're getting is complete BS. Ford should've built it to compete with the vette like it was originally intended.
