If you want to be different then go for a Rb25. Is't a bolt in conversion and will have more torque and will make more power than the other engine you have listed. And the after market support is reasonable as well.

you didn't read my first post or you'd know that reaching 500hp with an RB or SR isn't one of my concerns. I'm only looking for 300hp max. Regardless, if I WAS trying to reach above 500hp, i could do it just as easily with a CA as i could with an SR or RB. Just because it isn't common doesn't mean it can't be done.

Your right about it can be done but your wrong about it being done as easily.

Anyhow a 300hp RB will be quicker than a 300hp CA due to the amount of torque that they produce. But by the sounds of it you have your heart set on a CA so good luck with it. They are a good engine and a lot better than most people give them credit for, but I wish when i put my second CA in my car i had done an RB conversion because if i spent the time and money on a 25 that i have spent on my CA i would have a lot quicker car now, and i can tell you that the CA i have ATM isn't slow with 217rwkw (~335 BHP).

You kind of explained it yourself. What I was meaning by easier, is the easiness of looking online, finding NUMEROUS 400+whp cars to figure out what route you want to go, ordering some bolt-ons that you can get from any popular dealer, and then bolting it all in and ordering a rom tune. It doesn't get much more user friendly when it comes to modifying a car than that.
It really IS easy to get 400+ HP from a CA, but it is not common in the USA. If you want to see what a CA is capable of, try finding videos from mobne on youtube. Last time i heard about him, he was getting 700HP from it, the only problem he has is breaking gearboxes.

you can also find some vids of a friend, look for "streetbike S13", he is the one with a 9000rpm capable CA. the last vid from him was quite amazing, going from 120 to 250km/h on 3rd and 4rth gear

In France, or in the UK, our S13 are named 200sx, because they are sold with an SR or a CA.

You can get up to 300hp with standard internals on a CA and still be reliable. Part list is simple : turbo and AFM from sr20det, intercooler, freeflow exhaust and intake, stage3 chip. You can get higher with better fuel like e85 (i dont know if you have it in the US, it is an alcohol based fuel having octane 105).
PyR0NiAk wrote:300whp from a CA is the same as 300whp from a SR is the same as 300whp from a KA. The only difference being torque and weight from each engine, where the CA will win the weight fight, and the KA will win the torque fight.
I dont quite agree. The way the motor outputs its power is something, too. When i hear and feel a CA with a modded head rushing to 9000rpm before every gear change, it gives me goosebumps. I dont feel very excited with a Sr doing the same, although it outputs more power. and i dont know about the KA because we dont have this motor here :D

hahaha way to pull it from a different thread. the CA is not for the weak hearted. It can be a struggle at points, and I'd rather see someone stay with the KA or get an SR which there are alot of people that have them, then get a CA blow it up, and waste another block, head, etc.

I should have read this thread..

Some funny comments in here...

Realistically there is 47.25cc's difference in displacement volume per chamber, or 47.25ml or 1.6 US fl/oz or a 9.5% difference

or 23.6 guys in a bukkake contest

Wow, that is a disturbing thought. How do you get 3/5 of a guy? And which 3/5 is it? This could be key in such a contest.
