You kind of explained it yourself. What I was meaning by easier, is the easiness of looking online, finding NUMEROUS 400+whp cars to figure out what route you want to go, ordering some bolt-ons that you can get from any popular dealer, and then bolting it all in and ordering a rom tune. It doesn't get much more user friendly when it comes to modifying a car than that.
It really IS easy to get 400+ HP from a CA, but it is not common in the USA. If you want to see what a CA is capable of, try finding videos from mobne on youtube. Last time i heard about him, he was getting 700HP from it, the only problem he has is breaking gearboxes.
you can also find some vids of a friend, look for "streetbike S13", he is the one with a 9000rpm capable CA. the last vid from him was quite amazing, going from 120 to 250km/h on 3rd and 4rth gear
In France, or in the UK, our S13 are named 200sx, because they are sold with an SR or a CA.
You can get up to 300hp with standard internals on a CA and still be reliable. Part list is simple : turbo and AFM from sr20det, intercooler, freeflow exhaust and intake, stage3 chip. You can get higher with better fuel like e85 (i dont know if you have it in the US, it is an alcohol based fuel having octane 105).

I dont quite agree. The way the motor outputs its power is something, too. When i hear and feel a CA with a modded head rushing to 9000rpm before every gear change, it gives me goosebumps. I dont feel very excited with a Sr doing the same, although it outputs more power. and i dont know about the KA because we dont have this motor here
