Where has anyone else got this done at? I've called around here in Lincoln, and no one knows what I'm talking about. I want to get my engine steam cleaned to make it look nice, because I might be selling the 240 pretty soon. BUT I'll be selling it for another 240. A 5spd with low miles and NO problems.

Any detail shop should be able to do that if you don't want to do it yourself. This time of year could be a little rough (it's 0* here today!) to DIY. Contact a dealership in your area. They'll probably be able to hook you up one way or another.

When I went to high school in california, we had a steam cleaning machine, why dont you try a local high school, they might have one in their shop.

My school doesn't have that. I'm in that shop everyday. Would be a good suggestion though.:thinker

Get a bottle of degreaser, and head to the local self serve car wash. Might have to do it in the middle of the night though. some of the owners get a bit uppity about degreasing your engine.

Any half-way desent car wash or detail shop should be able to hook you up. Worked a car wash when i was a kid, we did it for 30 bucks if recall correctly.

Ryno, not everyone is lucky enough to live in San Diego. It's probably what, about 75-80* today there? Yeah, it's 7* here. Probably not any warmer in Nebraska right now. :D

I'm telling you red240ne, call detail shops at your local dealers and they'll hook you up!

Oh yeah huh? OOPS!! Ok, call the detail shops like he said, and if they can't hook you up, bundle up and read my last post.
