how to: fix s13 wiring for gauge cluster/custom gauges

Awesome, gonna save me a lot of self-discovery time in there. Lulz Ill be sure to disconnect the battery and reconnect once removed to test wires. The trip counter knob also fails to reset the counter so I suspect it may had just died. Inspecting wires today. Hooray!

Hello, I have a 93 coupe and I'm trying to swap a digital cluster into it. The only problem is the digital cluster I have is for sohc. I've tried cutting the wires and wiring them together and got everything to work except for the tach and the digital speedo. I cut them because the wires going into the black plug are different. The plugs click together but the wires were in different places. The dash harness for the dohc has 11 wires and the digital cluster harness has 12 I believe. Any ideas on what I can do to make it work? Or will the sohc digital cluster not work with a dohc? If you have any questions let me know.

The tach won't work without getting the tach signal from the neg on the coil because the dohc tach works on voltage and not pulse like the sohc does. As far as the speedo there could be a,few things causing it not to work. Was it a known working digital cluster?

Hi guys got a speedo problem. if i have deleted my speedo how do i get the converted signal from the VSS to my ecu?

Id take an old cluster apart and take the speedo visual part off and just use the electronic portion as a converter box. A box that small could be mounted anywhere. it'd just be 4 wires, power (acc)) ground, signal in and signal out.
