How ready would you be to swap in a VQ if more info was public, and cheap kits.

I know the SR engine isn't illegal (it's in several USDM cars), and turboing an engine is very rarely illegal, so where's the illegality here? There's no difference (smog-wise) between an FWD and a RWD engine, so I'm struggling to see the reasoning that the SR20DET should be illegal. >_>

BECAUSE THE SR20 WAS NEVER OFFERED IN RWD CONFIGURATION IN THE USA LIKE THE VQ35 WAS! Swapping a USDM SR20 into a RWD platform makes what used to be legal, illegal. And pointlessly retarded.

And turboing an engine can very often be illegal depending on what state/county you live in and what their inspection requirements are.

Let's stop making generalizations about off topic SR motors, folks.

this swap would be awsome, the VQ is the future of nissan.

but i havent seen a ready "Swap" like the SR or KA, or even an LS1.

untill there is a sort of plug and play, not very many people are going to do it becasue not very amny people with a 240 can afford anything.

put up some prices and then maybe you will get more intrest. ball park prices, idk how accurate you can be.

well right now we areou looking between 600-800 for the kit. the kit will include motor brackets, motor mounts, transmission crossmember, shifter bracket. Right now we only have a kit available for the fwd motor. All of us have been super busy so we have not had a chance to start on the rwd kit. Right now I am taking orders for the FWD kit. Though Soon I will start a group buy for it on zilvia for 600 shipped for the first 10 orders I just want to finish the RWD kit before that happens.
