Hello everyone I'm new to the forums and I want to purchase a G37S. I have been shopping around lately, but nobody wants to give me a reasonable deal. How are you guys getting these deals at invoice price?? I am looking for a base G37S with paddle shifting and I am wondering what a good price I should fight for on this specific vehicle?? Also, are you guys getting these deals with finance charges as well out the door??

Depending on your area of the country, I'd shoot for within $500 of invoice. Basically the best thing to do is shop around, and don't be afraid to call up dealers in neighboring states.

Case in point - I paid $36,889 (invoice was $36,926, MSRP $40,395), not including taxes, but including freighting the vehicle from out of state to my doorstep, because my local dealer wasn't the cheapest.

Just make sure to get multiple quotes from multiple dealers and work them against one another.

Well Im looking to get a blue slate Sport but my dealership doesn't have it. The invoice with wanted options is 36,863, think its possible to get about 37,000 or around it?

Im going to first lease then most likely buy so I am going to mod no matter what but nothing major.

Think its possible to get payments under 385 or so with 3-4k down 15k miles a year and 39 month lease.

Infiniti payment says so, but should I shoot for lower?

Start by getting a quote for your vehicle through one dealer. Contact another dealer, ask them if they can beat that price, rinse and repeat 8-10 times. The key is being patient. It took me going through a ton of dealers before I got the price I wanted and the car I wanted.

Eventually you'll run across someone that will be willing to sell close or below invoice I think. It helps to have a lot of dealers nearby one another competing. Case in point there are about five within 50 miles of where I live. I also checked out of state too.

In my case, I let them know exactly when I was purchasing, how I was paying, what finance deals I might take, and how I wanted to deal with my trade in. Being flexible about payment, times, etc. is always a plus too I think. While I did give them a time I was looking to buy, I made it clear that if they made a tempting deal, I was willing to come in and buy that week.

Not sure if this helps or not, but I let them know that my trade-in wasn't a deal breaker if they didn't take it. When I showed up I worked the deal there with them. Gave them a bit more urgency I suppose to give me a decent deal on the trade.

Use things to your advantage. If they have a car that is close, but say the wrong color, work the price down. Same for any other options. If they smell or sense that you are desperate to buy, they won't move as much on the price.

Know your credit before going in if you are paying via financing and be realistic. I had good credit, so it didn't matter. But it might make a difference in your case. For me, I got the low financing deal for 60 months, no money down.

Lastly it helps to be courteous and honest with them at all times. Don't be a prick, try to understand their side, work the relationship angle, etc.

Don't be discouraged either...some dealers/sales people are much more difficult to work with than others. If you run into someone that isn't helpful/flexible, try to contact another salesperson. Most of the internet departments seem to have 1-2 people in them at the very least.

Remember, sales are super slow, people are foreclosing on homes, there's a ton of alternatives (1-series, 335i, C-class, etc.). You have the advantage and it's not unreasonable given the economic climate to get them to go down on the price...just keep working them down in a polite and friendly way.

Good luck!

Live in NY Metro area, several dealers were offering up to $750 off after much negotiating, and closest dealer was $400 off with a "take it or leave it, we're busy" attitude. Bought car from dealer in Albany NY (130 miles from home) because salesman was great. Happened to stop by there the week before when travelling on business, told him straight up that I was from out of town and not sure if I was buying now or 6 months later - guy spent 2 hours with me and took me on a 45 minute test drive. loved it so much I changed my plans and bought the car within a week. Guy beat the best price I got over the phone, treated me straight up with absolute respect. They are locating the car for delivery this weekend, I hope. Just hope it all holds together when we come down to the delivery, because so far it has been a fantastic way to start off the ownership experience (except for the fact that my local dealer makes me feel like he could care less about me every time I walk into the place!).
When you go outside your zip code you can offen times get a great deal. That how I got mine. It's tough for those that live in butt $uck county.
