Well I wished I read this forum before I purchased my G37! I just picked mine up a few days ago and only received $2000 off MSRP (CDN $$) and then there was a $3000 cash back incentive.

I work for a dealership and employee cost is available unless it is a car in demand and cannot be replaced immediately. The G37 is one of those cars so they were trying to give me a special deal. I didn't feel so special, so I went to another dealership and they beat my own dealership's price without even knowing who I am. So I was pretty torn about it but at the same time, business is business.

It was a little nerve wrecking to drive it to work the next day!

South Florida - I paid $38,000 (plus tax and title) -- G37S 6 speed, Nav and Premium Package and 3.9 over 60 months. It was hard work but think I got a great deal. And what a car! Haven't slept since. Too busy driving it or thinking about it.

I got my G37S Journey with every option, 3M clear bra, nitrogen filled tires for $42K with VPP employee pricing. MSRP was right at $47k. This was back in November.

My G37 sport 6mt in Liquid Platinum with Graphite leather has premium, nav, and tech with the trunk mat, splash guards, and cargo net (don't you just hate those port installed options?). The MSRP was $43,175. Wheel locks are on the car, but I didn't pay for them.

My price was $39,628.19 (VPP plan C) with $0 dealer fee from Harper Infiniti in Knoxville. The whole deal was smooth from start to finish with no problems, surprises, or issues. I picked it up a couple of weeks ago.

Some folks are reporting invoice or under invoice deals, but there just are not enough Infiniti dealers in my area to generate that kind of competition - and there are not many 6mt cars around to choose from. Of course, some folks that pay invoice or under also are paying $300-500 in dealer "doc" or "prep" fees on top of the price. The net of the car with destination and any dealer fees is what folks should compare.

From the looks of things, I may be able to get it cheaper going up north to Melbourne or Orlando.

I wonder which state leases these the cheapest?

According to their financial statement for Feb. 2008, this is by far the hottest selling car that they have currently.

Your comparing sales of a brand new model to a model that was in it's 5th year. A better comparison of the G37's appeal would be to compare the G35's first 6 month sales to the G37 first 6th month sales. The G35 sold 12673 units compared to 11510 for the G37 or 9.2% fewer units. Additionally the G35 increased it's sales 31.2% over the next 6 months selling 29299 unit s for the first year of sales. I just don't see the G37 making that kind of splash. I live 120 miles from the nearest Infiniti dealership. I took delivery of my G35 9 days after it's introduction and within 2 weeks I was aware of at least 6 other G's in town. My G37 was the first unit delivered by Swope Infiniti. In the almost 7 months since taking delivery I have only seen 1 other G37 in my area(wouldn't you know it be the same colour IP). Apparently not all G35 owners are trading up nor has the car attracted a large new buyer base. I would guess that partially explains the quick offer of incentives. I hope the car does find a larger market for it is a superior automobile to it's predecessor.

I agree. Definite upgrade. Test drove it yesterday.

Can't get the dealerships to budge from $520 tax in though.

I've heard that waiting till the end of the month is the best time to go into a dealership. Any truth to this?

It's also the end of the Fiscal year for Nissan. (March 08)

Just purchased an '08 G37 Sport 6MT (Premium Package, Nav, Spoiler, Active Steering, Illuminated kick plates, splash guards) yesterday for $1400 over invoice. Patience, persistence, a good p0ker face and a bit of charm go a long way.

My wife needed a new car and after seeing the G37 at the auto show in Houston, she looked up at me (from inside the car) and said, "This fits me."

Well, I waited a couple months and she REALLY needs a new car. 2001 Accord with 90K+ miles. I have a Mercedes E500. So, no wiggle room here.

We drove one last month at Southwest Infiniti and she liked it. Got the word from my accountant that I'd survive tax season. So....

Now, I wasn't looking for the "Best" deal, just a reasonable one. The car lists for 45,545. I called and spoke with the salesman we met at the car show in Jan and test drove last month (Feb). He said they were offering $1100 off list. I said I thought they should make some money and I did not want to haggle. I offered $43,000. We drove out and purchased it.

I think it's a nice car. I'm past the point for a G37, I'm more a S600 kinda guy. Still, she likes it and that's what's important.

Hope eveyone gets the deal they are looking for. I know I left at least $850 on the table, but I enjoyed the quick, non-adversarial purchase.

Enjoy reading the forum and keeping up with G37 news.

Regards,Chris

I have a dealer ready to sell me a 6MT for 250 over invoice. Talk to a dealership over the phone tell them what you want and be looking at the invoice prices when you select your options. Let them know that you know how much they are marking their cars up and what you think is a fair price.

Just picked mine up from Sacramento Infiniti on Sunday...about $500 under invoice. Blue Slate / Stone G37S Journey. Premium, Sport, Spoiler, Splash Guards, trunk mat, cargo net.

Did the whole deal over the internet and was completely hassle free. They were very eager to earn my business, which was a nice change from all the other dealers I had contacted (over 10 in both CA and AZ).

The only problem was at delivery I noticed that there were a couple small scratches/chips in the paint. Very small....but still a bit annoying. They offered to fix these if I can bring the car back up to Sacramento (about 2 hours from where I live...I'm debating if it's worth it or not).

Anyway, working through the internet department there seemed like the way to go. I didn't have to dodge any of the usual sales tricks, and everything was ready to go when I showed up to take delivery. All in all, a pretty good experience and would definitely recommend anyone in the area to check them out.

Loving my new G37!

Those of you who got prices UNDER INVOICE (not under MSRP) how did you go about negotiating to get a deal like that? I'm in the Philly area, anyone get a deal like that in this market? Thanks!
