I dig it. haha.Kamin wrote:figured i would add my own twist
check it: the clip has ~19,000 miles, it is a R32 GTR specV, the guy is giving me the RB25 transmission, and complete rear of an R33, and mckinney mounts at cost. Also mentioned he knew a company called Masa, that also did mounts for the 26 swap. He sais they used both at his shop and were of equal greatness, just Masa are about 20% cheaper than Mckinney. Three G's shipped to Tampa, delivered to my doorstep. Slowly but shirly. $800 coupe. no more than five G's. whose seen camo-red?sean8564 wrote:How true!$50 MAF here $90 Alternatior there $75 Slave Cylinder The little stuff really hurts.
this guys trying to throw mad GTR **** on me, everytime I talk to him. fuel pumps, axles, brakes. I give out the source as soon as everything is finalized. im trying to get my buddy an sr clip from him as wel.great motivation guys!lKamin wrote:i hope you do it, because i dont see it happening without a crazy deal on the engine/trans. you will be nickeled and dimed to death. all the little stuff kills you.
yep, seems airtight to me loljrsink wrote:1. stock front mount; possibly stock piping can be used; if not custom; not too much. 2. local custom made drive shaft ~150-200. 3. bigger walbro ~120.4. stock r33 lsd 5. big 4 piston brembos on the front; still on the clip 6. gtr wirng harness/cluster; on the clip. 7. flexalite fans ~300. stock radiator, stock turbo. bada bing. 5 thou.
Yeah R33 diffs bolt right up if you use matching axles. Same length and everything and skylines axles are so much more beefier.Kamin wrote:
does a R33 lsd even bolt up to a non-LSD 240? i think the axles are different.
you may have the basic plan, but i guarntee **** will come up. ever done a big engine swap before? nothing ever goes as well as planned.
stock gtr clutch are hard as hell to kill; especially sporting a stock motor for awhile; I would like to address the suspension properly before power; stock flywheel will do for now. rotors..naw. wiring-simple. I am using all syline harness through and through; just need to tie in the tailights and headlights; skyline cluster as well; plug and play! My guy is giving me R33 axles as well. I think the rear (all R33) will work fine with a custom driveshaft. Only thing is I am 4 lug right now, not sure what it takes to swap over to 5 or 6 right now. Get me any advice more you can think of; ya'll are in it with me!Kamin wrote:yep, seems airtight to me lol
what about a clutch? flywheel? youll thank me later if you replace it now what if the brake pads are bad?, rotors need to be turned? who is doing the wiring? does a R33 lsd even bolt up to a non-LSD 240? i think the axles are different.
