Nadia, people don't buy the G for it's fuel economy. Buy a corolla instead!

I proudly get about 16. If I behave a bit. oh well. I don't really care about it. As soul says I would spend that money somewhere else. $60-65 a week.

19mpg, all city driving. But I'm still stock.

How bad will it 'eff up my mileage when I put on an intake, plenum spacer, and exhaust?

Eww, haha! I know that. Just making sure I'm not burning too much gas. I don't think I"ve been driving that agressively at all yet(I dont have my tag yet ). I'm spending about $400 a month on gas. I drive a lot too.

I can only get 330 miles from a 17 gal tank... WTF is up with that... >>?? I get bad mileage when I have more gas.. must be the weight??

Well I just discovered the cool little display for fuel economy and some other things on my navigations system last night while i was waiting. I'm not getting 20 overall, more like 17.

The most accurate way to determine MPG is to fill the tank. I usually add a little more after the pump clicks off to round off the dollar.Set odometer to zeroI can get over 400 miles with my 2006 G35 Sedan before the low fuel warning light comes on.On the next fillup divide the gallons it took to refill the tank into the miles traveled. Using the display on the Nav System is not an accurate method to calculate mpg.

Nadia:

When discussing MPG, I believe some with low MPG are leaving out a few affecting factors such as:

1- Automatic or 6 Speed. The automatics have a 5 speed transmission vs the 6 speed manual. At 80 MPH my rpms are exactly at 3k with my 6 speed manual. I would presume those driving automatics and AWD will be at a higher RPM with a resulting drop in MPG?

2- Engine modifications that result in higher HP will probably result in lower MPG?

3- Type of fuel? I believe using regular 87 octane which I use exclusively will result in slightly less HP but slighly higher MPG?

So how about those posting their MPG results include the above items listed above?

I have never once tried to figuire out mpg on any of my cars. To be honest who really cares? Every car I have owed has been performanced enhanced and sucks gas like a mo fo. actually about 4 years ago I use to drive from RI to Ohio for the annual dsm shootout and my little 4 cylinder turbo Gsx got 34mpg. Thats the only time I have ever caluculated mpg. My g35 I pull up to any gas station and fill it with the premium stuff. I dont even look as prices anymore. There is no point. if I save a couple cents per gallon....great! I drive about a hundred everywhere I go and i'm sure I get 15 mpg or less and love it everytime I do it!
