No. You remove it, then buy some more and reapply it when you put in the new tails.DirftKing102 wrote:so do not remove that stuff and just leave it be so it will stick much easier is that what ur telling me?
Sorry for the confusion. Buy a new roll from the store. Looks like this when it's new.DirftKing102 wrote:so do not remove that stuff and just leave it be so it will stick much easier is that what ur telling me?
A 10-pack? Don't I only need like....four? I've never had to replace bulbs on my 240 yet, so I don't actually know how it's all set up back there yet (time to scope out a FSM). I figured I would just get all the bulbs from AA.ishkabibble wrote:They all look identical and nobody has provided evidence that any of them are made by a different manufacturer than any other.
I got my tails from that exact seller. I did a Best offer of $100 and they took it.
You can re-use most of your existing bulbs if you want. A 10-pack of red 1157s from mrtaillight.com on Ebay is $18 shipped (Item #200134800093). A pair of amber 1156's come with the taillights, but consider getting a pair of the silver-coated amber 1156s so no amber shows at all (still lights up amber though).
Yes, you should be fine... you've done your homework These tails really modernize the look of the car IMO.
Hey, you say you bought the 10-pack...do you have any left? I dropped by AA and NAPA today and they had two different kinds of 1157, one was 1157A and the other 1157LL, but neither looked like it was what I needed (the LL was for stop lights, the A wasn't though). They also had one thing of 1156 ambers, but it wasn't silver coated. Time to shop eBay I suppose?ishkabibble wrote:Well, 10 were the same cost as 4. I couldn't find them at an auto parts store.
Maybe try $105? That will pay for your bulbs
