Honda Wants Revenge!

This Honda guy put me down a week ago by saying he wouldn't race me because he felt sorry taking my money. So I hit him up and set up a race he was extremely confident in his brand new 2000 Honda Civic Si with a cold air intake. But little did he know my 240 was sr20 powered. = )

We raced for 40.00 and he even threw in his parking spot at school. Screeching tires and three gears later I had myself 40 bucks and a parking spot closer to my school's campus.

Today he challenged me again and said he'd be ready in a week.(he still dosen't know my car has an sr20)

My question is how much horse power enhancing work can be done to an Si in a week? I'm thinking basic bolt-ons I doubt he would mess up that new engine with nitorus.

What is your opinion?

He wont do his own engine work so I know if he wants head work it will take weeks even months in this valley.

My opinion? tear em' up...but I'd feel kinda bad taking his money considering he doesnt know what you have under the hood (although he SHOULD be wondering considering you obviously beat him) As for not going to nitrous, never underestimate the stupidity of a honda owner! (disclaimer: this does NOT apply to ALL honda owners, just the majority of ricer's out there)

Yes I did feel a little bad when I took his money but hey he deserved it. My car is primered black right now and when he was asked if he wanted to race me these were his words: "Nah, I dont want to take his paint money"

my car has no hp adding parts I do however have a manual boost controller but had my psi at 6.

The Honda was stock B16 with a cold air intake.

ouch...your tq numbers are most likely over his CRANK hp numbers... :-\

i can see ur point, and no offense, but screw that, he wanted some, he got it, something big like a supercharger/turbo COULDNT be done in that amount of time (tuned properly anyway) esepecially if he isnt willing to do his own work, and nitrous is a possibility, but even still, say he goes with a 40 shot, my guess is you'd still have him cuz of the power difference with the sr20 and the b16a, good luck again, i got money on u this time!! (a friend thinks the SI will prevail with NOS, so keep me posted, i got 20 on u man!!!) good luck

is the kid a rich boy or a sopiled brat? does the kid now cars or just go off of movies? if he's a rich boy and nows cars then he'll probably go do something smart like turbo or nitro. if he's spoiled then he'll get the turbo (i don't think parents now how powerful turbos can be. they only now about the dangers of nitro) if the kid is a spoiled kid that dosent' now **** about cars (thus the 2000si is his car of choice and thinks that he can beat anything tht pulls up next to him) then he'll go hit a exhaust thats made for turbo and headers. which bring his HP to about 12-15 total. you'll stil beat him and this time do it for something that is actually worth it like $100-200.

OOOONNEE MOOOOORE THING! If the kid is rich then he'll go wit a 75shot of "NAWZZZZ" and try and run you. BUT his car would probably run mid 14's (my boy has a 2000eclipse wit a dry 75shot venom kit and he runs 14.2) your SR can run 14.1 stock. so there is no worries. you'll still win.

this outta be good, get a vid or pics, just make sure u pay attention to the road, try mounting camera in ur car, as to save weight, or tell him to have a friend ride in his car to film it!!, giving him the extra weight!!

race him for doors. you can't really race him for paint. You could race him for seats, or the loser kisses the other ones ***. race him for valve covers! there you go!Pity not the chump, kick him in the sack proper.

The only one time I made a bet. I won and afterwards I never saw the kid again. I heard he moved away somewhere.

BTW the bet was $50 and then he was feeling confident so I raised it to $100 and he said to forget the money, he just wanted to pound my face in. I told him that as much as I would have loved to beat hi A$s down, I really didn't feel like getting my hands dirty.

This guy is both at least I assume his parents bought him the car not that I have anything against that cuz my parents bought me my car as well but anything beyond that was all me and my hard work.

He knows what he knows not from experience but from movies videos and magazines

ya run 10 psi and go work on your holeshot. you have an LSD? that would help alot- i remember you saying "tires screeching" and take the unnoticable out of your car. not like seats- dont make it look like your trying-so you can race again. do you have rims/rubber? get some silica based Z rated tires. hmmmm- traction. . . . . .

Good advice I will take out the unoticible weight ie: Spare tire, jack (replace with fix-a-flat).

At the moment I dont have good tires which really bites been on a budget but now I go some free money and will eventually get down to getting some tires.

Im rolling on Enkeis 15's (they are just lighter than stock) and stock street tires.

but seriously...yeah take ur spare and jack out that's like 40 lbs i think (i heard something like that)

if u wanna mess with him really good get a HUGE NOS window sticker (a removable one) and put it on ur rear hatch...lol he'll **** his pants! haha

but yea...removie excess weight, boost high...practice your hole shots...put your exhaust on but with no cat...that way you can shoot flames at his ***... :-p

Its funny you mention NOS because today he was claiming I was squezzing supposively the way I jumped ahead of him was a NOS take off lol. So he assumed I was shooting Nitrous.

By the way I dont mean to sound ignorant but what is a holeshot? I probably know but never heard it that term?
