so did you use(high temp paint)?? i tried using a can after i installed my engine (by the bmc) and i let it dry for a few days and it just wipes off now(wtf)?? since youre turbo manifold is that close i would figure the paint would wear out there before anywhere..

On the bay? I used this paint i got from a shop here calledHPC: High Performance Coatings. They deal with alottaEndura products, but it was actually an acrylic paint. Was a really nice finish! With all the heating and cooling thoacrylic will have a tendency to crack, although its tough as balls, hard to scratch!Did your paint peel after you had the engine in or before?

And ill post pics of the syko elbow later this week.Gasket and studs will be here friday, and ill be able to put my engine together, ill take pics of everything lookin all fresh including the elbow.Engines going in this weekend. Should be running next week.Tackling the wiring tonight!Seemed to have sorted out my issues thanks to good ol' Carl

i die grinded what i wanted painted to the bare metal and i sprayed(rattle can) it with the enging in the car. i didnt remove the lines or the brake booster, but i sprayed at an angle and used mutiple coats(of 1,200 degree) so idk. maybe i have to buy the expensive stuff..

and you are lucky(and rich) i couldnt stomach spending $300.00 for a turbo elbo(syko's price) so i just got the cheapo ebay one and went to work(on c18's build page 6) if you missed it..

Hmmm. The paint i bought was $5 a can lol. See how it hold up i gess. The stuff i used to paint my engine was all like $15 a can.LOL definitely am not rich tho. I afforded all this s*** with a part time job, mostly while still in high school. Im in college now though for first year automotive tech, so funds are a lil tighter.More than half my paychecks would go to my car.I lucked out tho, found a used elbow on NICO here for $180.I knew the ones with divorced wastegate pipes didnt work with the swap so i stayed away.Gj on being intuitive with that elbow, although those welds look scary haha

LMFAO! You know it!Thanks man.

Coolwhip, that fedex shipping is slow as hell.Expected delivery is April 5th!I thought it was 4-5 business days?Im the one that just ordered that AEM tru boost and grommets and such.Otherwise, thanks!Cant wait to drive it!Im all antsy!

UPDATES: Upper harness is complete with the exception of extending the MAF plug and re-looming it.

Got some stuff today.I love getting parts, feels like Christmas.I Always tear s*** open and then admire it then leave the pile of boxxes and various packing wrap scattered about :P

Isis Downpipe and Godspeed Skyline Intercooler Kit

The welds on the Isis Downpipe are very nice!Looks like a real quality piece!

Godspeed Intercooler welds arent the greatest but definitely a solid piece.Im more concerned with the fitment and flow which is both sposed to be real good so gess we'll see.

Damn, if only if I drove the FedEx truck, lol. Well, hopefully it's a fluke and they're faster than they're predicting.
