Ok now, no BS. What is the highest rate of speed that you have ever been clocked by a cop at? Also what is the highest speed you've had your car up to (whether it be race track, highway, wherever)?

Now if you have a story remember not to go into too much specific detail as it always seems there's someone watching lol.

Anywho, I got clocked at 185mph (yeah I know...stupid) by a police officer on 71 south. It was planned though and I knew the law enforcement official so I didn't get a ticket. I bought him breakfast at the next exit and that was that. Was an insane rush but at the same time insanely stupid (read : don't do that kinda speed on public roads lol).

So what you got? Anything crazy fast on a road course with a long straight or something?

there's a limiter stock at 155. But my car isn't exactly stock. I believe on the TTZ's that it runs out of gearing at like 198.86mph or something like that. So technically you could hit nearly 200mph in a modded twin turbo 300ZX. I mean there have been Z32's that have run at the salt flats that have gone well over 200mph. Something like 253 comes to mind from awhile back.

I've never been clocked by a cop, at least not to my knowledge.

I'm probably going to get flamed for this, but, I had my Q45 up to a stated(by speedometer) 160+mph.

nsrZ32 Could you give a description of your 300zx. Or give me a link with information about it?

105 in a modded '68 GranSport, busting north through Utah towards SLC. Officer was cool, he was a big musclecar fan and only wrote me for 85 in a 65, because he had already called for backup. Even let me and my buddy take pics of the "scene" for my photo album.

The Q has seen approx 135 for a short while, and I had my old Interceptor Crown Vic up to 135 for a long stretch several years ago.

I can't even imagine doing over 150 - too many things can happen at that velocity, and ALL of them are ugly.

Clocked MANY years ago in a 76 Vega wagon doing 97, cop was laughing too much, when he realized I didn't have a V8 shoe horned in there.

Non-clocked 130 not for too long.

Clocked: 69mph, although I was actually going a bit slower that particular time - so I think he measured someone else with his radar. Of course, I've been lucky, touch wood (as he raps on forehead), since I usually drive a lot faster than that!

Actual: Somewhere near 150mph (speedo reading) for extended periods in my 1991 Q45. Story is in the Infiniti Speeding Stories thread in the Infiniti General forum.

I've been clocked in the SE-R @ 91 in a 65 on I-95N i/a Manning, SC (Mar 96). This was just after a Maxima and I were running @ 120 - 125 from the GA/SC state line to the I-26 interchange.

I've had the SE-R up to 130 mph.

I was at 253 kph (~156 mph) in a rented Opel Vectra on a stretch of Autobahn outside of Frankfurt, Germany when I was stationed there in the early 90s.

I had it PEGGED, so I could have been in the 80's, but I doubted 97 myself. He decided he must have been locked on some plane landing (no airport nearby). This was in the 80's.

That's what I was thinking. The Vega Wagon tops out around 85MPH. That's why you're supposed to swap in a modified 350ci minimum

That is one hot ride man.

But please...please... Tell me that that wing actually generates downforce. Other then that, the car looks awesome

Wind tunnel tested by Stillen back in the day. Generated a whole ton of downforce at high speeds. Before doing the Tein's you could literally feel the car squat where as with the stock wing it didn't. Flows really well IMO. Thanks for the comments.

58 in a 35, woOoOoOo! (it was exactly a 45mph road, but had just been reduced to 35mph. meh

I wasn't driving but I've been 130 in an S2000 and 145 in both a '73 450SL and an M5. A very sloid, safe feeling 145 mind you, the cars were barely trying. The Mercedes is my grandfather's and is a mint condition specimen with about 30k original miles. The M5 was an uncle's.

I got a ticket for 127 in a 55 in my civic, don't ask and yes civics go that fast.

Fastest I have been in my 240 is about 135ish. Didn't trust the gps we were using.

Fastest I have been in a car not me driving was in a freinds 383 stroker 93 formula firebird. 157 on gps, don't think I will go any faster than this.

Never been clocked by a cop *knock on wood*, fastest I've been is 135 in Joe's SE. That felt stupid crazy fast too, it's hard to imagine 185 Jerry. 200mph be cool to hit once the Z is broken in.
