Although you probably meant it as a joke, it is the truth when you're riding alot of the newer crotch rockets. Mine always felt real heavy and hard to hand at anything under about 60. At 100 it felt at home. Its probably better that most people one here don't ride though. I've almost been hit too many times.
Oh, no, I wasn't joking. Now don't get me wrong, it's one of the biggest adrenaline rushes you will have, but I wasn't scared. When I'm the passenger of a car that is excessivly speeding, I'm scared cuz my life is in the other persons hands. That's just how I feel.

Sorry, I was referring to the downshift comment, not the passenger comment. I would defintetely agree with you on the passenger issue. I can't stand not being in control. I also tend to notice every mistake the driver makes when I'm the passenger.

I had a helicopter tag me. This was during a big crack down on speeding on 92. Cops issued I think it was 96 tickets that day. I got away because I went by the local airport and helicopter had to yield to traffic. I was going 85 in a 65. I like to hide with semi's and now that I got a CB in my car it will be easier.

no need to downshift when passing. In top gear I 60-100mph in about 4 seconds (I think i;ve seen magazines post times in the 3's but can't remember the exact numbers) If I really need to get around someone fast (on comming traffic less than 1/4 mile away) I'll drop it into 2nd or 3rd depending on how fast they're going. On the highway 3rd, cuz I'll hit the rev limiter in 2nd (117mph) before I get around them

Hmm . . .

The quickest I've ever gone in any car was around 115-125 in my mom's old 1995 Oldsmobile Aurora . . . 4.0 liter V8, 250 HP, and though it's heavy, it does move. Did this late at night, roads were empty, in a 40 MPH zone. I think I was only 16 at the time. (I'm 19 now)

Fastest in the 240 is only around 100 MPH or so, but it feels a damn bit more stable than the Olds did, heh.

Fastest was probably 130+ in a '79 Celica. I was behind a buddy in a 'vette and that's what his speed-o said.

Highest ticket was probably 69 in a 55.

Wow, that list puts a lot of people to shame, including me!

Anyway, fastest I've been has been in my car (KA-T @ 9 psi)...the needle was off the speedo, I'm guessing between 125-130 mph, still pulling VERY strong (it was at around 5600 or so in 5th, and with my JWT ECU I can bring it up to 7200 rpm....)

Unlike many others, I have evidence of it

Here's the vid (keep in mind that the car would be much faster if it weren't for all the fuel it had and the extra 180 lb passenger filming....)

I got clocked going 80 in a 55. For those ptc members it was on highway 54 coming back from fayetteville. I had to be home at 12 and i was running quite late, so i was going 80 when the radar detector went off. It scared the **** out of me i thought i was gonna get my liscence taken away, but the cop never came and I was never pulled over

I know what you mean. My bike is only a 550 (Kawasaki GPZ) and even in 6th gear and bearly rolling the throttle I can hit 100mph easy on the freeway.

But at those speeds, the wind really pushes you back. I can't imagine winds at 180mph.

I never really knew how much wind hits a car until I started riding a motorcycle.
