He has been swamped and appologized for not getting back to me sooner...

Expected... i repeat EXPECTED pricing will be..

$200 for any color match or black$225 if you want the chrome beveled brim of the enclosures left chrome...$275 if you want any 2-tone scheme

I believe he will clear the amber running light for free as well..

I contacted Greg (nico owner) today in regard to trying to setup a GB to some degree.. because of the specific nature of this guys service.. i need to wait for Greg to get back to me in regards to GB/sponsor/pricing..

DONT change that channel folks, we will be back in just a moment!

Ok... i spoke to them yesterday and he told me sat was a go.. but just msged me

"Brian,

I know I might be giving you the wrong impression of me now, not being able to make it last Saturday, and I wont be able to do your headlights this Saturday either, I completely forgot about FormulaD which is this Saturday, and I already made plans for it and got the tickets. Is there no possible way you'd be able to make it out during the weekdays? I wouldn't come up with an excuse every weekend if I worked on the weekends, but I only offer my service M-F, so I can have my time off and hang out on the weekend like normal people. And next weekend I'm going to be at HIN. I've been really busy preparing for HIN, so I haven't even been doing customers cars, telling them that everything will be done after HIN. If you can somehow come down here on a weekday, I'll do up your headlights, otherwise, we wont be able to do it up until after HIN. Sorry again Brian, and I would have called you to tell you this but I left my phone in my friends Lev's car last night at the meet."

As a result.. i will be rolling into work late, and with no headlights one day next week.. and pick em up after i get out..

Nice!! Forgive me, but I don't see how this'd work considering our headlights are a completely different shape than these? Are we talking the above picture going where our current amber strip is on each side or an entire replacement of the light?

ok its hard to describe.. but lets say the amber strip was completley removed or painted over, and then the led lights would be recessed in that section running up the light twd the windshield... not sideways like the r8

Gotcha, sounds real good. Just worried about the quality of the seal after modded due to what Adidas mentioned in his post.

Definitely would be interested after I saw pictures of the prototype. Keep us posted!

Hey guys. I don't remember who made these photoshops but this is what I'm hoping for except more leds on the strip.

Ok, so today i left work around 5, headed out to bklyn to meet up with Igor and some of the other G35nyc guys.... I got there at around 630 and in no more than a half hour, he had my enclosures out.

I hung out for a little... and then headed home at around 730, it then started to rain lightly, and then began to FRIGGIN HAIL! and pour ofcourse...

Anyways im home now, and ill be going back there tomorrow to pick them up.. i hope i didnt get any wires wet that will ruin something.

He wouldnt be able to do the ironman leds tomorrow though, that "id have to come back next week" when he has time after HIN (which none of you guys are coming to, idk why).

Stay tuned for tomorrows update with pictures!

Whats up guys, it's Igor.

Have some sad news...

As much as I wanted to open up these headlights, and looked forward to working with the rest of you guys here, it doesn't look like its going to happen. You guys are VERY unfortunate, these headlights do not open without heavy modification (cutting the headlight open).

I looked at one of the DIY's and the guy opened the headlight by baking it like any other headlight, but I don't see how thats the case, these headlights are sealed with silicone, once that silicone dries, its hard as a rock, and it's melting temperature without a doubt surpasses the melting temperature of the actual plastic housing.

I've opened up headlights on about every Nissan and Infiniti out there (previous gen Altimas, Maximas, G35's, M45's, Muranos, Pathfinders, FX's) which were all manufactured by Ichiko, a headlight/taillight manufacture for all Nissans/Infiniti's, but it seems that the new Altima headlights are made by a different manufacture, and they used a cheap way to seal them, the headlights aren't even screwed together, simply glued together w/ silicone.

In the process of trying to open LBC's headlights, one of the tabs melted, and I'm compensating him for the damage, or offering to buy him another headlight.

It sucks that Nissan is starting to cheapen up their cars with ****tier quality products, hope its not going to be the case with the rest of the Nissans, or else I'll be out of business.

Good luck guys, hopefully theres someone out there that might be able to open these headlights another way.

Take care.
