Hey Guys,

Sorry for the delay...Like I said, the car has been over at the fab. shop for development so I don't have any power numbers ready to be released just yet...

This will more than likely be a header/B-pipe combo. Obviously we don't know exactly what the prices will be but they will probably be comparably priced to some of our older 2.5 Altima/Sentra headers.

As far as fitment goes, they are being developed to fit the Altima Coupe, Sedan, and Sentra (fitting numerous vehicles allows a larger market...meaning higher volume, which means lower price...)

Noob question. What is a b pipe

i know what an h, y, x pipes are but the shape of the b escapes me.

Would this mean i would only have to order the axle back stillen exhaust?

well now i have an idea of what a b pipe is thank you.

so what type of exhaust would i order? axle or catback?

im thinking catback since the b pipe eliminates the cat?

im thinking and hoping the STILLEN cat-back exhaust that should arrive on Friday 8/1/08 will work well with the future purchase of STILLEN headers.

So, for the car to be able to pass emission as what not, you would need to keep the old headers with the cat and swap them out if needed eh?

The good thing mate is that here in Cali.. dunno about anywhere else.. were not required to pass emissions for 5 years if you have a new car. So with that being said, makes sense to buy a cat back system and header w/B-pipe and let her breathe.. don't need to smog it till 2013.

so with the new headers and cat back exhaust, we should be seeing probably between 20-30hp gains and some good sound....right?

Yup, sounds about right 20-25 HP's in the mid and upper RPM range.

I dunno...an optimistic 12hp perhaps? hahaI'm not used to seeing gains like 20hp+ from simple bolt-on mods so it stuck me as kind of odd. If they dyno numbers can back it up though, I'll be all over it like a donkey on a waffle!

Boyo, if I could realize 20-25hp with those two bolt onz I would be smilin' "like a gopher in soft dirt."

Hotshot said that with CAI and their header they were getting 12hp and 12 lb-ft tq on a Spec V. Here's the linky http://www.hotshot.com/graphic....html

Some spanish website said pretty much the same thing about the AEBS header for the Spec V. http://www.nipponpower.com.mx/....html

that seems like a different engine, with way less power than our 2.5s.

wrong, the 2002 SE-R Spec V made 175 hp, and that's the engine he's referring to!

No worries, I just remembered the Spec V had the QR25 like us, while the other sentra's had a weaker motor.
