Your car still wont move until like july at this rate so might as well get em :P As long as hood pins dont destroy this one you can actually enjoy it.

Eh sorry jeff I was just being dumb. By the time you install your t28 turbo you'll have bought something else to install before you drive it. It seems to be an incessant cycle lol.

I was just pointing out my observation. Its nice to see you stick to ur guns w the bushings u bought. Would b nice to compare em.

yeah i'm curious to see how the risers feel but dropping the subframe more then once is not for me the car would be running in 1-2 weeks if it wasnt for the t28. the front end is painted, the t25 woudl have been installed since the elbow and hot pipe came in. all thats left is get an inline fuse and distro box, pick up my moog endlinks and install front cusco sway bar, install driveshaft and headlights, have bov flange welded on, run vac lines and avcr then get gauges and intake pipe. after that its time to start up then put the dash and seats back in. it seems like a lot cuz i itemized everything but theres not much left to do, the t28 is worth waiting for though, lol i plan on being done in time for the great north american s chassis meet june 7th. sorry for the threadjack josh

update time!!!!!!!

alright so today my friend john stopped by w his mountaineer to take the subframe to the car; and i installed two of my PBM subframe risers.

the back bushings are not in because they slide out till they expand, so ill just install them when i am ready to raise the subframe up.

the arms need to be eyeballed for alignment and torqued down and im good to go.

also i need to install the new rear cailpers, and lines (all stock sorry nothin baller back there) thats all tommorow's project

fake mock up shot

well saturday and today i got alot done on the interior.

180sx seat belts and panels are installed, driver's seat, almost all the trim is in place, and cleaned up.

couple cool features; the o s*** handle on the drivers side (jdm passenger)

its fun to hold on to it getting in and out lol

alright ill shut up now enjoy the clean interior!!

discuss.....

back tommorow after classes (hopefully mike will be around to mount up the subframe and then its time for a spin.

alignment is thursday

that is all for now

Wow thats clean. I like the os*** handle man. I keep wanting to tell u to pull things out of the interior, but its so clean maybe I'm wrong. You'll get a track slut someday that u can do that with.

AHHHHHHHHHH ! ! ! ! !

It looks so beautiful on the inside!

I am so glad you went with the JDM seat belt conversion and JDM headliner! ! ! !

I love it! I actually smiled when i saw it!

With the way it looks, feels and works. DO you think it was money well spent? ( i thought it was) And the Oh shizzz handle is nice as well! It is going to be very convenient when we are low low low ^^

Sorry i have not had any updates but after seeing you do the under coating, I think i can save a few pennies to get that out of the way at least!

Looking good bro, I am loving it!

One Love,

Ghasty

well didderson is picking his car up today, which is why i havent been able to finish my stuff.

i found my fuel leak, unfortunately its both of the hard lines that are corroded near the back of the car that is the source of the leak, so im going to have to replace the lines.

ill probably have an update tomorrow when i get the car back on jack stands

alright guys and gals it been a while. So after "finishing" my car i realized i had a fuel leak. i would leave a small puddle everywhere i went and the smell of gasoline was far worse than its ever been. (alot of 240 guys complain about this it seems)

so i checked over my rubber lines and didnt appear to have any cracks. well here was the problem. Water got into the clamps of the hard lines and rusted them out up in the subframe region.

a total pain in the d!ck.

so i looked around a bit at different options, but had a time restraint because my winter daily beater (the cressida) is overheating probably due to a bad waterpump.

i went to NAPA auto parts and bought 4 5ft pieces of brake line that was 5/16th diameter.

bought a cheapo tube bender, and a flaring tool and went to town.

now what you need the flaring tool for is to cut a tiny section of the end off to remove the brass fittings that you would use for the brake line.

unfortunately i had to use two pieces with a small section of soft line connecting the two under the car. I didnt think about it at the time, but i shouldve just cut the section that was rotted and made a small section from what was bad.

the tubes are not exact so remounting it was a b****. It is a bit crooked but securely mounted. i think ill take some measurements next winter and try and make more exact bends.

replaced the fuel pump, and all the rubber lines and have ZERO leaks and no smell

here is the undercarriage that ya'll never got to see finished.

all i need now is to tighten the koni's more since im rubbing tire (its a 60 series tire so next time ill get a shorter sidewall) and a realignment.

then some paint touch ups, wash and wax; and im ready for a great summer

this is the end of the first stage of my build, next winter if money allows ill do a swap and more rust repair in the bay. I probably will update with some cruise and meet pics throughout the summer

thanks for the support nico and enjoy the gorgeous summer weather

Wow man nice update. Too bad I haven't seen it until now. I'm really glad you decided to cut the threaded nuts off and re-bevel. Looks like you bent them really nicely.

Looking forward to the BBQ!
