If the photo isn't done really well, it just looks like another busted 240 IMO. I don't really have an opinion one way or the other, but I just thought I would point that out. :D
i definately agree. the quality of the pic makes it.

The 'purpose built' excuse is to make people feel better and justified in owning a crappy looking car. Lame

Cool so where are all the action shots of these 'purpose built cars' So far the action shots i've seen arent too bad, and at one point were one color and pretty like a school girl and will be after competition/in the future.

So can you be purpose built if you actually care if your car looks decent going around the track and put money into the appearance as well?

I didnt know cars had popularity contests

I personally kind of feel like the "purpose built drift car" thing is just an excuse... For example, this seems to be a purpose built drift car:

And yet, it is one of the cleanest 240s out there...

Not trying to rain on this thread, just trying to have an intelligent discussion... I'll change the pic to a link if it makes you guys feel better.

Bringing it back on topic, here is a sweet one!

Ok decent point now show us some action shots of you and your buddy putting these "purpose built" cars to use? Only thing I see is 2 s13's missing front bumpers one needs body work and could win 2nd place in a monster truck "show"

I do like when a primered car is done right, ziptied bumpers, dents, its all the story of a cars life imo. It shows the car isn't just another car. its had life. :]

if you know what you're doing going into it, it can look quite good. i did not, and it still looks pretty good. if i did it again, it would like way nicer, like teddys.
