I'm gonna whore out my own pics from D1GP and Haunted Moves at Englishtown. I personally love this look. Just drive the hell out of your car, and who cares what it looks like.

Most of these cars only look like this because the owners havent gotten to fixing them, its not because they like the s***box look.

So sad but true...I just hope these kids keep destroying these "purpose built" cars so that they become a rarity again.

I like this look for probably the same reason a lot of others do. Not everyone hardparks their "built" 240.

these cars are track sluts. and having a pretty track car is the last thing you should worry about. comparing cars like the green one posted is completely irrelevant. sure..yea its much better looking. but no ones track car looks like that. you cant even compare it. its paint job costs almost as much as the entire vert. therefore i love these cars, theyre not meant to look pretty, theyre meant to have fun in and not worry about every damn thing, and no its not a f***ing honda "thing"

well, we could just make a post your garage queen thread. I'm not all into the haggard look, but the look that the car is being used and has been put through a little is kinda cool as in it's actually being used. Constantly repairing track damage sucks unless you're rich. I spend money first on upkeep, handling and performance in that order. Looks are mostly last. Mine isn't too beat up, just a cracked black pignose bumper and a scraped black lip on a gold coupe. When you're convinced your track car is also a show car then you gotta worry about every little scratch. I guess the opinion differs on what you use your car for. I like looking at really nice clean cars and I like to track well maintained, rust free non show cars.

I love this look too but not when it is dont just to be cool. Mine isn't sooper haggard and I actually plan on putting an Origin full wide body kit and some baller wheels. I already have the Origin kit but it's for a coupe (bought it for my vert then totalled it before putting it on :crybaby:). Anyway here she is:

Yeah but they're calling they're ebay knock off body kits by that. Just call it what it is its a damn body kit! I guarantee most peoples on here are for LOOKS and the ones that actually are aerodynamic and whatnot cost more than most people on this sites cars.

Exactly. It's not like people are building these cars to look like that...They're just driving them into the ground and leaving what's not necessary.

I think most of the time the only reason people "like" these cars is because of the quality of the photography. The Risky Devil guys and other people that take beat-up, zip tied, mis-matched cars and take excellent photos of them are the ones that make these cars seem cool.

If the photo isn't done really well, it just looks like another busted 240 IMO. I don't really have an opinion one way or the other, but I just thought I would point that out. :D
