It mostly depends and the budget and which the owner wants more, performance or looks. When most it goes performance first looks second, some don't have the money to hit second.

So leave it at that.

People were posting random beat up cars and calling them purpose built willy nilly, when I bet some of them are just daily drivers that haven't had the chance to get painted.Hell, when I first bought my car the paint was faded everywhere and the area by my rear wheelwell was crunched in a bit and my interior was quite bad. If I had a few zipties, I probably could've posted a picture in here and people would've said blindly called it "purpose built", but in reality it is just a daily driver.

I don't mind a primered car going sideways at the track, I like those as much as the other 240sx sliding around with solid shiny pain.

People just need to stop calling cars that aren't pretty as "purpose built".But just because it's beat up, it does not mean it's purpose built.

The stance, and the overall trashy-like look, yet the car is well taken cared of according to what I know. Then again that statement may make no sense to the naked eye.
