A built motor wont help you much either. I have been drifting for some time, and that is why I know you dont need a powerful engine to drift. Even though it helps, it isnt necessary. I have always been function>form kinda guy and I still continue to build my car that way, I guess its a matter of opinion & personal taste.

First off let me say that I do not hate the haggard 240 look. But the excuse that

"we don't care what are car looks like because we drive them hard and that means aero gets messed up and we would rather not spend the money fixing it." Is a stupid excuse. Let me ask you this then. Why buy aero in the first place? Can you not drift stock body? That argument make no sense. Anyway, here are some pics I always though looked cool.

wow dude chill

i just dont get the point of "buying" a haggard bumper.

if your the one who smashes into something and zipties it, then your the one who contributes to it.

i havent seen you on the track with your built coupe?

sure i havent tracked my car

but im not talking s*** here either....i could car less if it makes people happy to have a car look like a** more power to thm

sorry id rather have something that is all one color and decent paint as apposed to s*** falling off- whether i run my stuff or not, or even wreck id still want to get it fixed with proper bodywork. then again maybe im the one thats retarded

Troof. Drifting pre and post turbo was totally different. I only clutch kick into tight transitions, everything else is just power over.

But yes more pics!

this thread is full of fail now. this thread isnt for broken 240's. when i came into this thread i expected slammed cars, ziptied cracks on the front bumper, and a nice set of wheels(mismatched perhaps?) VR's car before his paintjob would own this thread. half these cars posted are just broken a** 240s. the Z also belongs in this thread along with the slammed vert. and why the hell is everyone overusing the saying "purpose built." im sick of it. ugh

Why do people think that if a car gets driven hard, it has to look like sh*t?

Both street cars, both get driven hard at the track. One even has modded knuckles.

They should just change the title to haggard POS S-chassis and have that piece of sh*t project ebay car as the headliner haha.

Hey man, it's whatever I don't really care too much it's not my car anyway. But calling a POS "purpose built" when it's beat up like that from only daily driving and lack of upkeep, isn't cool.

My DD has faded paint, rust, mismatching panels, and dents and I'm totally not proud of it. I don't even park it in my damn driveway.

When my front end dipped down on a bump I didn't know about and ripped my pignose bumper off, I didn't think it was cool, I was totally pissed and didn't drive the car till I found a replacement.

Since we're talking about haggard cars, here's my car around this time last year:

Although I hate those wheels, your car doesnt look half bad like that Hero!I think that even though some of the people on here want their cars to be "haggard" & beat to s***, some of us just like to see the pictures of em.

Then why put aero on int the first place? Drift stock body if you don't want to have to repair body damage. I will say one again that I am not hating on these cars and like some of them but the argument of I would rather spend money on suspension/motor is dumb because if that was the case you would have never bought aero in the first place. And here is a pic to contribute.

besides the fact the picture u posted has already been posted in this thread-maybe he got the body kit cheap and/or hes on a drift teamso those are just normal things to get for competitive driftingbut CONSTANT UPKEEP is pointless is my pointim sure hell save up for another kit to throw on at some pointbut alot of people have been hating just because a cars been drivin hardand dont have tons of sponsors to fix/replace things everytime they are damaged..so respect those who practice the art of driftingand dont judge them just on the looks of their car i love a clean car just like anyone else tho-zipties/primer/mismatched panels are legit in drifting is all im sayin lol but even beautys like these...sh*t happens..lol

ZX88, don't jump to conclusions. None of the 'landcaster' 240sx kids own an article of camouflage attire, so we are not redneck. Those 'types' generally choose trucks around here. Just shut up. Your car has megans and stock pissy brakes all round in those wheels yo. Hardly purpose built, but it'll get you laid so I understand u just want it to look nice. Nice. I'm not trying to start s*** because I have so many reasons to start hating on you for saying that, so just stop thanks.

The smart ones do up the suspension/drivetrain first, then worry about the exterior later. I need a photoshoot. Mechanics > frilly stuffPurpose built cars can still look nice people. Just try a LITTLE.

Go ahead I don't care. Just like your girlfriend, the real beauty in my car lies beneath thanks to DCdan and my bare hands.

a lot of the cars in this thread have really awkward wheel gap and sunkenness.

granted, most of the gap is in the front. and the sunkenness may or may not be attributed to the "drift spares" or whatever you cool kids call it.

my cars a couple colors and has some zip ties. but not on my body panels because theyre metal instead of fiberglass.

mostly, this thread is weak. there are a few good pictures in here though.
