So I need a 90-93 ECU and for 20.00 USD I will get an Flashed EEPROM (flashed chip) with maps for my 94 TCS active?

Or am I missing something ?

If you send us the ECU to have the thing soldered in (chip+socket) then its $105.... Its $20 if we send you the chip, preprogrammed, and you install it in your 90-92 ECU..

WES- is it to late to do this buy. I thing I have found a 90-93 ECU w/TCS (A18 B12 P74). Should I wait for the 94 GB. I think I would be able to pick it up Saturday. I could ship on Monday.

Wes - I found a few Nissan Reman ECUS with the A18-BXX that DO WORK. PLEASE check with me first before you assume it won't work.

Robert- do you think that the 93 (A18 B12 P74) will work? I found it on car-parts.com

It has TCS like my 94Q.

I'm not sure on that one. That sounds like a 94-up, which won't work.

Right now I'm so swamped with the first batch of 90-93 ECUs that I haven't worked on the 94 up stuff for a while.

I have a group of prototype boards sitting here but I have not had a chance to assemble and test one yet.

I should have some progress by the end of the month.

cool. at least that buys me time to have the vibration issue dealt with (the transmission mount/injectors/exhaust hanger issue)

Does anybody have a spare VH45DE laying around that they can use?

I bet we'd all like to know what the true RPM limit of the engine is. Can you say 8k rpm

O momma! I got a perpetual grin on my face! Mail man just came with my new ECU. 10 minutes later it's in the car and I'm racing to 7400 RPM! Yee Haw! I can definitely tell the difference. Well the new redline is a no brainer and quite obvious, above 4-4.5K RPM is where I can tell the biggest difference in power. I love rolling in 2nd gear at around 4K and nailing the throttle, that's what I'm talking about! And if you start in first and let it go to 7250 then shift to 2nd.....O yes, it'sa very nice! Can you say "whiplash". Plus with the higher RPM when it shifts it only drops to around 4750 when you go to 2nd gear so it's still pullin hard.

Robert and Wes are my hero's

P.S. In case there is any doubt after reading above.....I love my new ECU!

Oh, and Poorman... There's some nice new vibrations and resonations at 7400, I'd be a little scared to go much or any higher than that.

Hope I'm not too late to get in on one of these. New here and just recently picked up this thread. My 92 would just love a new brain ! I have a couple of ECUs handy I can send which are no option boards 90-92. I also have an eprom picked off of ebay from a group called E~Formance which is as of yet untried .. anybody tried one of these ? (Robert..would be happy to send it along if you'r curious about it. Might want to see what the mapping is to advise others whether its safe or not. They were selling for $35 to be self installed) Also is there anything new in the area of the TCU ? Locked in converter on deceleration maybe? (switched) New shift maps? Switchable manual operation? And if I might dream a bit...those cool little paddles on the side of the steering wheel !!! Anyway...I'm in for whatever you two wizards have come up with as of now in the control department and have an itchy paypal finger. (btw...Robert... sent you an email) While I'm posting this I'd like to say thanks btw to all you guys for helping me through the under plenium work, fuel pump replacement, critical information on sway bars, brakes, possible solutions to this nagging rough idle etc! You guys rock. (I'v just joined...but I'v been reading for a while now)

Since installing this ECU, I keep hearing a cracking noise. YEAH THATS MY NECK SNAPPING WHEN I GUN IT.

Fuel economy is about 16-17mpg at 80mph.
