I haven't done a real timed run through it, I just go through and practice around the corners as I tend to oversteer around them. I'll probably do a full test run today.

The G25s should be down in price now that the G27 is out. Even using just a cheaper logitech with force feedback makes a world of difference. I'd highly reccomend it.

I've taken only about a half second off of my time since yesterday. Turn 4 is extremely difficult.

I wish the mini triggers (R2 button) would be used to throttle in this game. It would make the control x10 better. Anyone on Cape Cod have a G25 I can test out? I can't justify buying one without a trial period lol

My current time is a 1'39.5xx.

Had one lap where I was heading towards a mid 1'38, but spun on the last turn. Ugh.

Really? I thought it was pretty cool.

Also, speculation on release date. People in the UK have pre-ordered it and they said shipping date is March 24-26th. A store in Japan accidently leaked release date for GT5 and GoW3; it stated March 25th. The release date for GT5 was quickly removed shortly after. Various other sites who do pre-orders have also posted shipping dates for the same March time frame.

How I hope this is true!!

March is the official month for release in Japan. Just watched an interview of KY from CES and he said that the US release date has not been decided.

^ Yeah, I watched that this morning. I hope Sony pops some news on that soon. A lot of sites have it set at Q4 2010. I dunno why. The game's almost done, it's all on Sony's marketing now.

And now it's been delayed in japan...

This is getting a bit ridiculous. It better have been delayed so that we can have a worldwide release.

I don't believe that. The Japanese version is the only one being discussed because it was the only one with a solid street date so far. But if something's holding back that version, unless it is localization-related (which it won't be, as it's the home region) it will affect versions in other regions, too. Sony can say the NA and EU dates are unaffected because noone outside Sony knows what they are.

The fact of the matter is, I really don't mind waiting a little longer. It's going to blow every other console racing game out of the water, I'll wait as long as I need to.

This.

I hate that people keep b****ing about taking 5 years to make this game. Most of them don't realize that none of the code from the previous GT games was used. In addition, putting 1000 cars in the game at 500K polygons is quite a bit of work, not to mention an amazing physics engine and re-vamped online system. GT5 will be phenomenal and it will be the best of the best. I have faith in PD and Kaz, they know what they're doing.

By the time you guys finally get a full version of GT5, we'll be playing the Forza 4 on the 360. I understand what Polyphony is trying do and I'm not knocking GT5, after all if I had a PS3 I'd surely be wanting to add this to my collection, but at what point do you as consumers say enough is enough and start to revoit? I mean come on I'm sure this game is pretty much, it seems to me that that Kaz and Polyphony are biting off more than they can chew here. I understand they want to be sure that everything is perfect but if the cover car is car that was just revealed this past September you have to wonder if they are just adding more cars because they can, and if that is the case then they are just playing with you guys, after all there is DLC, and you guys are all ravenous to buy up every DLC that they would throw at you.

Most Gt fans have no problem waiting for it. So what if Froza 4 will be out by then? It's still not GT, and never will be. Forza's popular because you can make stickers and videos. GT's popular because it works hard to be a simulator. Forza 10 can come out by then for all I give a crap, but it will never be GT.

The game will come out this year, Kaz said they are polishing the final details. It's all on Sony's hands as they know this will be a huge profit maker for them.

most GT fans are probably playing Forza 3 like myself so of course we can wait. It's just I want the game to be released already.

I am playing it, and I enjoy it, but it's just not the same as GT. It's way more satisfying playing GT and running good times than it is in Forza.
