Speak for yourself. Build threads can be awesome.

BTW, +1 for GT Spec. Ken and the crew have been sponsors here for over a year, and I have a bunch of their stuff on my G Coupe.

Okay, I'm going to do a write up for this.An install guide. I feel like doing this with the new car I guess.

C Pillar bar. This works for the 1991-1993 hatchbacks. They have a bracket on the C pillar that the bar bolts to. It is to my understanding that the 1989 and 1990 models do not have this specific bracket. The bar comes with 2 17mm bolts and 2 washers. The install is very straightforward. Remove the factory bolts that are there 914mm I believe). Put the bar up to the brackets and thread in the provided 17mm bolts. It will be much easier with 2 people, but it can be done with just 1. Tighten the bolts and you are done.

Trunk BraceThis is a very simple install also. Remove the 4 14mm bolts that hold the rear bumper reinforcement in place. Put the Gt Spec bar in there and thread in the 4 provided 17mm bolts/washers. Tighten the bolts and you are done.

Rear Tower Bar.If the end plates on the tower bar are tight, please loosen them up. There is an allen head bolt and a 17mm nut. Next, remove the 4 12mm nuts. (2 per side) on the rear suspension points. Place the Tower bar over These and then put the nuts back on and tighten them to spec. Then tighten the bolt and nut on the tower bar end pieces until tight.img]http://media.ziptied.com/members/files/ ... 81208b.jpg[/img]

All 3 bars are very simple to install and can be done with just one person and hand tools.

Enjoy.

I do not approve of the electrical tape over the tail light harness'.

Aside from that.

If/When I get another s13 GTSpec looks like a cool company that won't rape over some simple parts.

What's wrong with electrical tape over the wires?

I thought that is what you are supposed to do.

Providing you have some metal laying around and good welding skills, these would be easy enough to make, correct?

Well, the designs are pretty straightforward I guess.

If you wanted to take the time to find the metal, make the measurements, cut, weld, paint, etc. go for it.

If you want to buy one already made for a small priec to begin with, hit up GT Spec.

Hmm, that sounds like a good idea. Well, Im not getting a rollcage anytime soon so I guess this is the best until then. How many different bars do they make?

240sxmotoring carries them. I'm actually thinking about picking up the C-pillar bar. 100 shipped isn't bad at all.

For s13 they make

front tower barrear tower barC pillar barTrunk floor bara bar thatc onnects the two subframe mounting points for the toe links. (I have that too, nut haven't put it on yet).

The front tower bar is coming on tuesday. I'm excited.

I got them from GT Spec.

All of the bars are meant to tie together the car. S13 hatch is a big open space, so these work wonders.

Is there any way (to your knowledge) that you could retrofit this onto an 89 s13 hatch? Or maybe do they make similar products for the 89? I sure would like one!

I think the C pillar bar is the only issue.

I have NOT seen a 89-90 first hand, so I don't know exactly what it looks like.

If anything, you could just get the brackets from Nissan. I can't imagine them being very much.

I had the c pillar bar in my 89 hatch, not from the same company but i had one, came with the car. It DID feel amazing with the addition of a front and rear strut bar, some people dont realize how much these things stiffen up the chassis.

Yeah, it really is amazing.

a long time ago in my 14, I had a c pillar bar. I think it was a Megan Racing one (lol). This one seems the be the "standard" pillar bar that you see. It was so small and flimsy, but it still worked. Probably a bit bigger than the diameter of a dime.

This GT Spec one is the same size as my cage piping. 1000x better. hands down.
