Good luck on that.

They (Ultra Racing) owe(d) me parts but I never got them.

If you want fender braces for a 13, go with NAMS. I have them.

Yea I trust the NAMS one is good, jus the ultra racing one was better as its a full triangle... the nams one is strong im sure and does the job, but im a dumbo and always want the extra edge :P The ultra racing one is a bit beefier/full triangule... crash unfriendly :D The NAMS one would collapse in a crash that's all.

I think you only ASSUME that the UR was better. There is NO proof of it....

You are only assuming.

well my assumption is based on visual comparison you are right. One is open, one is a full triangle. A full triangle is stronger. That's all

yeah, I suppose so...

The UR ones felt pretty lame though. The material seemed thin or something.

It was tubed and not dumb. A buddy who races runs it quite successfully. I mean it's frickin piece of metal hard to get wrong. He also welded it on as opposed to bolting it in. He has called it quite beefy sooo, I'll take his word on it

The GT Spec fender braces (not available for s13) are too bulky and heavy BUT also triangulated. No offense. Don't be a fanboy There's a point of diminishing returns the heavier/bigger something gets. My point was, the UR one was triangulated, the NAMS is great too but probably designed so it collapses in a crash (safer). That's all

I emailed GT Spec back in February about a multi-point brace for under the car between the front suspension and frame rails or a butterfly brace sort of thing- their response:

We are working on something like that. It will utilize the frame of the carfor mounting and we will try to get it as much towards the front of the caras possible. It will be similar to the butterfly brace from flying miatafor the miata, the problem with the S13 and S14 is how far the downpipe runsand the aftermarket cat back options.

I know development takes time, but I told them, I'd pre-order if it helped speed the process. People should email them to see if we can speed up the process- I want me a butterfly brace!

I posted the flyin miata full underbody butterfly brace... that certainly would be badass :D

i was checking out the GT Spec site and noticed they have a picture of your car for the C-pillar bar. Once I'm not broke I'm going to get this stuff for sure.

How about you go make an Ultra Racing thread?

Not trying to be rude.... but it's getting on my nerves that you keep flooding this with these UR parts.

GT Spec is easy to get.Good luck with Ultra Racing.

lol ur not only sounding like a GTSpec fanboy but a salesman. Seriously LOL.

Who gives a s***? It's a part, it's metal. You buy and you use. GTSpec this GTSpec that. Fine. I got them too, they're on the way. Nothing wrong with talking about other parts that GTSpec DOESNT have and should maybe if they are so superior (ooh nooO!).

Cmon man... get over it, you're getting defensive over UR parts being discussed LOL.

you're the same dude from Zilvia, right?

Everyone hated you.... you probably got banned.. I think.

The point is,

If you want to go make an Ultra Racing thread, please do.

You can discuss material used, your friend's race experience, why they are better than everything else, etc.

You can be a "fanboy" or whatever that term is that you used.

You are so clueless.

I asked you nicely and you tried to respond in some badass cool boy attitude. You failed.

Ever heard of Ad Hominem. You bring nothing to the table.

Nope I responded to your lameness, we were discussing GTSpec and their products and potential other braces. I mentioned UR, you got butt hurt. What's the big deal? What matters in the end is braces make our cars stiffer.

Yes GTSpec made some nice stuff (still no s13 fender brace).

If we're to then follow your logic then you shouldn't have mentioned NAMS fender braces either. You are in my opinion just affiliated with them or getting something out of it to be so bent over about anything else being discussed.

All I give a damn about is a brace that works/practicality/price/quality. I don't give a damn about GTSpec or UR or NAMS or any other brand name.

You have a problem. Go make love to your GTSpec braces

I have no ulterior motive you seem to. I don't give a damn about brand names.

/end rant

i'm not here to cause trouble, i'm just here to do the superbowl shuffle....

i have no intention of trying to get this thread locked...good info in this one, merely stating that those two were in a heated debate which inturn would ultimately get this thread locked..but not by me...so thanks for your input.

Well GT Spec messed up sending me an s14 (lengthier -- eg; doesn't fit) trunk brace. So will have to sort that out.

The tie bar says S14 on it too so didn't bother lifting car to install.

C pillar on the other hand went in.. looks nice and it does make a difference. Recommended lil upgrade in a hatch That is all.
