Yep, Win98SE is fine. It has native USB support, so you're good to go.

Shipping is included for the lower 48 (USPS 1st class Certified, w/insurance)

You just jinxed yourself to multiple failures and hard to find issues!

I think it's a great tool to get while your car is working properly... then if you play with it enough you'll know what's not normal once you have a problem. My hope is that the full version of OBD ScanTech will do a true power balance test. That will give me the information I need to decide when an injector flush is in order. It will also give you stored codes... I discovered that I had a knock sensor code 27 starts ago... so I know that I should keep an eye out for that now. Plus it's just cool

Wow, one more; that was quick. Thanks for the great response everyone. The boards are usually built to order, but I've already started on 9 of them. I will begin shipping, (in the order payment was received) as soon as this last one is sold!

Should be mandantory along with FSM prior to allowing more than 15 posts.

First Help request usually results in a link to FSM, then another about Winrar or equivalent. Need some method for member to PROVE they sat up all night reading FSM.

You should be selling hundreds of these adapters.

They are quite invaluable, but they certainly don't replace good 'ole troubleshooting techniques either.

I've lost count...

Kevin: sorry, but these boards are for early-mid 90's Nissans and Infiniti's only.

There is a timing adjust function which relinquishes all control of timing and locks the IAC valve to allow mechanical adjustment.
So what does one do if its OBII? Just out of luck?

I have actually seen a CONSULT-II device somewhere on the web: I think it went for $200+. There are so many ODBII scanners out there that it's not so bad for you folks. I don't think I personally will be offering one, sorry.

Infiniti sold over 230,000 units that this device plugs into not to mention Nissan.

Actually even the 1996-1997 Q has a dual plug arrangement so it can be used.

My guess is a MILLION possible customers [less junked units]

My '97 truck has the dual plug arrangement. I'll have to try it with that and see how it works.

ponzy: once Wes has transfered the money my way, the boards will ship in the order purchased. There is one left so we will likely wait untill it sells before proceeding.

This might be the business model used when Chrysler flirted with bankruptcy in the 80's.

I'm not very computer literate so if this is a stupid question I apologize, but do the infamous "they" make a wireless USB device so I could plug 1 part in to the CONSULT and the other part to my laptop with no wires involved?
