qsiguy: The basic CONSULT 'concept' circuit is that which is publically available. The design as a whole however is done by myself, including the addition of the USB bridge, 95% surface mount components, all the component tweaking (values), and some additional reliability. So is the PCB layout. The boards are manufactured at an off-site boarding house, and are about the best quality FR4 boards you can have made. The units are hand assembled and tested by myself on my own S13.
These PCBs have soldermask layers, which the cheaper units do not(this is the green that you see). This keeps corrosion from forming on traces and in the end, results in a longer lasting, more reliable device.
GQ Jay:Yes Blazt is a good source for the Nissan DataScan software and the DataLog *viewer*. I emphasize the viewer, because the logging is a function of the DataScan: you can still view the log files with Excel, but it's a PITA. The optional viewer piece of software just makes this much easier.
Of course DataScan and LogViewer are completely compatable with these cables, and I highly endorse DataScan.
