I have been putting my Greddy FMIC in, but ran into a problem.

The way my SMIC was setup was that there was a line from the wastegate actuator to the plastic cold-pipe. The plastic cold-pipe had a nipple on it specifically for that purpose.

Putting in my FMIC, the Greddy cold-pipe doesn't have a nipple on it.

Where can I tap the wastegate signal into? Please help as soon as possible.

zerothread/359468 You could try this. I drilled a hold in my hot pipe close to the turbo for the best boost response. Then I got a vac. barb fitted in the hole, than I used liquid steel to seal it and keep it in place. I works good for me.

Put a nipple in the hotpipe.

Look at page 15...

Greddy includes a 3-way vacuum tap, but since I bought the kit second-hand, it wasn't included.

It shows the wastegate line tapping into something, but I can't tell what it is...

You can tap into the signal for the BOV, but just as a temporary solution. Wastegate diaphragms dont like vacuum.

Are you positive that the wastegate is tapped off of the BOV line in the Greddy diagram?

Why does the wastegate not like to see vacuum?

Thats not how it is in the diagram. In the diagram they have it t into the factory boost solenoid, which Im guessing you dont have.

The rubber diaphrams inside of the actuator tend to tear when subjected to vacuum and pressure repeatedly. You will be fine running it to a manifold source, like the bov line, for a little while.
