I was just curious... I'm not sure I wouldn't concentrate on one really stellar car instead of two, but that's just me. Between the Q and the 300M, you might be getting close to a new M or slightly used '02 Q45? Especially when you factor in the extra property taxes, insurance, etc. Just bouncing ideas off the wall.

I'd like to get a small sporty car for fun when I sell "Q1" Heath
Which one is Q1? The one with 47k miles?

Jesda,

I recently made a similar decision with my car. I was debating on whether it would be wise to buy a 94-95 Q instead of repairing and maintaining my 90 Q. This is how I made my decision:

1. I KNOW what's been done my car so there are no surprises like I would have in buying a used vehicle.

2. I love my color combination, which was only available in the 90 Q's I believe.

3. I like the styling of the first-gen Q better.

4. It would be cheaper to repair mine than to buy another one and basically "start over"

Hope this helps.

Nick :)

I know I got into this thread a little late, Jesda, but if you don't mind, let me give my 2 cents. You like the 5 speed Maxima, but don't like the long shifter throws. Do they make an aftermarket short throw kit for the Maxima? This might be the ticket, unless you've already made up your mind, then forget my idea.

Nope... that's the one with 199K... when did the signature line stop showing up on posts?

Yes there are short shofters for the Max. Little bit of trivia, they were first produced by Steve Christiansen

(former TRD guy, then owner of SMC, who made nice Wilwood brake kits for B13's & 14's among other things)

and then Pace Setter, of all companies, bought the rights to produce his design as their own. Now there's other good choices like B&M, bmracing.com Mr. C's and some others.

Now, he's head of Nissan Motorsports & doing his part to bring the marque back to (enthusiasts') life.

One of the nicest & most knowledgeable guys you could ever meet, and doing one hell of a job.
