we ended up using the car's weight to break it, just put the ratchet on it, put jack under the ratchet, then jack it up

o yeah, i forgot to mention, my first idea was to cut the stock resonator off to get an impact wrench to the cat bolts, good thing we didnt, i sure do have some dumb ideas, LOL

Had we cut the resonator off, open exhaust after the cat... oof! That woulda been loud (and OH so fun... were it not for the fact that it would sound awful)...

we would have to make our own resonator or pipe section out of pvc, lol, it would drip flames and catch on fire, haha

I still think we should have left on the front section, the pipe dumped down after the axle.. we could have duct taped it so it wouldn't bang against the frame... sounded bad***, lol...

Seriously for those 5 seconds we had it on, it sounded GREAT! I kinda expected a little fartyness to it with that HUGE tip, but it sounded pretty clean... a lot like my brother's exhaust, but louder and freer, wee!

hmm. I would bolt it all on, then take it to an exhaust shop and have them weld the hangers that you need. Im sure BRM would foot the bill.

I'm waiting for word from Greg on what to do. I'd certainly be willing to do that, so long as it's not from my pocket. In fact, if he tells me that's what to do, I'd probably go ahead and get my crew back tomorrow for a little while to get it back on, then go get new hangers put on (edit: in the other order, don't think 1 hanger will cut the mustard...)... assuming I was guaranteed reimbursment for that task...

I'm not to worried about it, stuff happens. I'll get the right thing on soon, I'm quite sure.

Sharpsburg muffler would... some place near Fayetteville does too. I looked into making a custom system based upon a VRS piping kit once, those two places will use SS stuff and weld very well. Kinda far off though, a good 20-30 minutes to Sharpsburg and about the same to the Fville shop...

Blue lights flash,he busted my ***,life's just bad,I need cash...

Time to dash, find my stash,I'm with the wrong lady,I deserve a lash...

If speed kills, idiocy decimates,destroys,crucifies...why am I,punished for petty crimes, while the stupid run the town awry?

Cops are like women, they're all the same, they all suck.

edit: Tis another rough night in Winstonland... not so much for the exhaust thing, but it didn't brighten my day... blah... anyways, someone post besides me and Mike, please?

Read, IN his car. In other words, if he was to take my exhaust to the shop to get new hangers affixed, it wouldn't work because the 240 is too small.

He's wrong though. Mike, it's in 2 pieces, remember? We could fit it if we really wanted to, but why would I miss a chance to drive my dad's little overpowered truck?

edit: It's only 9 megs, but that'll do. I'm putting up two vids of what the car sounds like with just intake now. I'll probably leave the action shot up, since it's a better reference, once I get my exhaust worked out, and add a good run with the exhaust (exterior this time, so you can really hear). Thanks man!edit 2: Or does the space increase after a certain period of time?

Weeeeeeeee! Here's the current sound, if anyone cares...

http://www.we-todd-did-racing....DE%3D

The road was wet, so on the shifts there's a good bit of tirespin, that's not clutch slippage, the shifts were pretty good. [/defends himself]

Here's what it sounded like when I started it up before we did any exhaust work. Now it sounds quite beastly when I first start it up as I have no gasket between the cat flange and the resonator flange, and therefore a GORGEOUS leak, lol.

Apparently the urls lead to a "sign up" page, hang on a minute... okay, I'm retarded, how do I link it so people can use it without signing up?

No word yet... I'm getting a bit anxious again... it sounded SO SWEET for those two seconds... and now it's all stock and silent again...

I don't really expect to know what's up til Monday, seeing as BRM is not open at the moment...

Haha, well... that's just the CAI sound (freakin beastly for a 4cyl already).. I can't wait to get the right BRM.

Greg called today while I was at school, upon calling him back he explained that my and 240kid's analysis were correct, the exhaust I recieved was meant for an SE-R/Spec V. (Thanks a TON to Mike for finding that pic showing the resonator-area hanger on an SE-R!).

I have re-packaged the SE-R unit (dear God, that was a *****! and now I have to go do French homework, FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL... grr) and it is to be picked up by UPS tomorrow (my bro, still not having left to go back to college, will ensure this happens). Now I just wait for the correct one...

Greg apologized for the hassles, and was/is altogether the best person I've worked with in the tuning land. No, I'm not just saying that because he owns this forum, his response was gloriously quick and professional... even my mom (who answered the phone while I was at school) said "he sounds like a nice guy."

So, thanks to Mike and Greg for all their help, as well as my two other friends (non NICO members) who will be back to install the right one soon (I hope)!

Pics, vids, utter insanity, etc. coming soon!

edit: Did I use enough parentheses? I need to cut down on those...

Oh, and it still sounds friggin bad*** with the kickin exhaust leak... at least at low rpms... take it up and it has a nice wooshing sound of escaping exhaust, lol.
