I appreciate everyone's constructive criticism. That's all fine and dandy. I just don't like being called a noob for my choice in wheels?

Dam these wheels look really sick lol. Jerid the wheels you got have to agree with others that they are overpriced but it all depends what you like. I would rock a set of wheels anyday. But you could have gotten sportmax 18" for 800 bucks in my area. I like it, could improve the look by dropping it.

Whats up nico? If someone post a what do you think I should buy thread, they get flamed....If they buy wheels and you don't like them, they get flamed...Sure they could have been a better size or offset but a lot of you missed that he use the shop discount to buy from discount tire, not I work at Honda so I got Honda wheels (even thought they would fit better on a FWD car)

O.P. if you like them great...Its your car do what you want, if you are out to please people you need to GTFO and everything I said is null and void.

P.S. Nico how could the OP ordered wheels when he needed them that day?

Go figure

Your reading comprehension sucks.

nobody missed that he used a shop discount, the fact that he still had a discount and he payed that much for the wheels is what is appalling.

When you post on a forum your asking for the opinion of the forum, if you want somebody to hold your hand tell you everything is right then the internet is not for you.

He is handling it fine, He does not need you to stand up for him.

It's appalling that I paid around $390 for a set of wheels? Wow. I must be looking in all the wrong places. My tires were seriously more than half the cost.

@ Sancosys: Thanks for standing up for me. However, I did post this knowing that I was going to get a lot of negative responses. I know that most of the people on Nico are ready to jump in and criticize anyone who doesn't have a slammed, rolled, cambered s13 with 11.5in wide wheels. I'm fine with that. Haha. But seriously, thank you for being cool & standing up for me.

Just for the record, here is my car when it was sitting on steelies:

Do they seriously look better than this?

eh, they look ok. i still hate the "racing" red stripe on any wheels other than te37 tracks. black wheels are starting to get played out also, good thing your planning on sellin em. i have black fn's (proper fitment), and already cant wait till i go 5lug & get xd9's. if i were you & i did get a discount i prob would of special ordered some better/wider wheels & rocked the spare till they came in, but thats just me

$25 steelie from the savage yard.versus $800's that could have gone towards something that you actually wanted to keep.

Hmmm...

Yeah, but that wasn't really an option. I needed an alignment after smashing into a curb & replacing my LCA, sway bar, tension rod, and tie rod. You can't get a proper alignment with different wheel sizes. My toe was so bad that when I drove my car over to the alignment rack (from my lift) that it was making a screeching noise from the wheels fighting each other.

Yep, steelies looked better. In fact, you almost had no wheel gap in the front but now NOW it's ugly.

I like them enough to keep them for at least another year or two. I needed a new wheel, and I needed four new tires. I needed my car THAT DAY. I have a lot more money than time, and it made perfect sense to go ahead and buy a $400 set of wheels that I could get instantly, make my car look worlds better than before, and resell for nearly what I gave for them.

But then again.. I could just be stupid.

Coming from the guy that thinks I had different wheel gap with my steelies/tires that had the EXACT same diameter as my new wheels/tires?

To pin stupidity on someone, I would think that you would be intelligent enough to take into account that my car was parked on a forward slope in the steel wheel picture. Hence the larger gap in the rear (w/ steel wheels) than in the picture with the new wheels.

You really shouldn't leave your self open like that... :

In all seriousness, were it me, I would have bought a $25 steelie from the salvage yard. Then I would have gone to the used tire shop and bought 4 used tires for under $25 a piece. This would have held you over until you could get what you really wanted.

This reason ppl is being so tough on you here, is so that other noobs will see this as an excellent example of what not to do. But to be perfectly honest, I made the exact same mistake when I was a 240 noob. I get rid of my steelies for 17x7+42 TenzoR Shu's.

Just because I got them for $200 including tires doesn't mean I didn't fail. I failed hard. Because after that, I had to start messing with ginormous spacers to hide my sunken shame.

I thank God for the day some other noob offered to trade me a PS3 for them.

I appreciate your sense of humor. ...Seriously.

@simmode1:

IMHO, I didn't fail. I made myself happy, and I win. The picture you posted is a good exaggeration of wheel gap & wheel sink. My setup does not look THAT bad.

As far as everyone giving me a hard time, it's no big deal. I'm not butt-hurt about it, and it's not like I'm bragging about some stellar wheel-deal. I didn't expect anyone to be impressed, and I don't care that nobody really likes them. However, I did post this thread to get opinions, and I definitely succeeded in that area. lol

These wheels are what I want for the time being. When I get the wheels I really get hard in the pants over, I'm going to spend a good amount of money on them. It's not like I cleaned out my bank account or anything on these cheap-o Discount Tire wheels.

@OutToWinPAHC:

Indeed I did. People insisting that I'm stupid for spending X amount of money on something that I'm happy with is jackassery. I don't need a beer. I'm home sick and took a couple of codine. Cool as a cucumber, my friend.
