Thanx Kuillin_Drifter... I'd still like to hear more opinions from everyone in the group. As far as manufacturing... I still want to know whether to go emblem or sticker? Maybe both? Thoughts??

I'm planning on doing my rb swap later this year. When I do, I'm gonna put that symbol where SE normally goes. I say chrome to match the 240sx on the left side.

i really like the skyline emblem with the rb incorporated into it. i would rock it on my car. if it were an emblem i would put it on the bumper instead of the nissan emblem. if it were a sticker i would put it on the back where the "SE" decal usually is.

how about something simple yet not obvious, like just RB but have the R reversed and have them back to back in caps.

Can someone skillz on photoshop or something try this for me.

Take the Original Blue S posted by Goofynick on page 2... Then rather than changing the shape of the two blue areas to form an R and B, just emboss the R and B into the middle of the two blue regions.

I don't like the changed shape because it makes it hard to pick out the original S.

I like being discrete with the logo... It would be like an engraving or something... like putting the two letters in releif on the logo. It would look really sharp on a Chrome logo.

the picture I have in my head looks fantastic... I just have absolutely no clue how to make it work on the computer.

I will see if I can find another image somehere that has that idea so you can see what I am thinking.

or the generic "S" logo

both can be easily made for window stickers...and not looking like another crazy APC product.

That's moving in the right direction.

Can you take the R and B and slant them a bit so that they fit within the borders. Then can you make the coloring of the letters the same as the background, and use shading around the letters to make them stand out... sort of like they are embossed or engraved into the chrome.

Too bad i can't do anything on the 'puter like I have in my head.

thanks for trying for me.

Great idea by the way... I would love to have a cool sticker/emblem/logo that only a few people know about... a little props for the RB community.

You guys also have to remember that if these were stickers they can't have shading and they have to be 1 solid color. Great ideas but unless you want a white backround we need solid colors but can still have things cut out.

Idea submission: You get the general idea. Just a joke. I'm down as long as it won't take away from my multicolor body panels.

My friend's dad owns a sign shop. Maybe if we get enough people I could work something out and get him to make some sort of actual emblem. They work with paint, metal, chemical etching and tons of other stuff.~ANDREW~

In all honesty... I don't think really anyone will understand wtf the symbol i designed actually means.... Firstly no one will know it's a skyline symbol... and unless you can relate skyline and "RB" .... they probably won't even recognize the "RB" .... just my .02.... I happen to like my earlier design but I would anywayz cause i made it!Now to just get a machine shop to make them... hell i could have it done at my school for cheap.

Obviously there are going to be different ideas as to which one is best.

Some people like the shaped S sign that includes the R and B in the shapes. Some people like the sticker in a single color. I personally love the last one that 420_240 designed with the R and B put on the chrome S.

BUT... for this to have any point at all, we have to agree on a single design so that it actually means something.. otherwise it's nothing but a cool sticker or emblem.

SO... I propose that we continue to brainstorm a little bit... Then we post a new thread with the top 3 choices... then we vote.

Which ever one gets the most votes will the be official RB club sticker/emblem or whatever. If people really hate it... dont' put it on your car.

I personally have my preference, but I like them all, and will go with whatever the popular vote is... Again, as stated in previous threads... the cool part of this idea is that the sticker will mean something to a select few people "In the loop"... so it has to be uniform.... otherwise it's just a sticker.

my $.02
