can you put 2 polls in a thread. I think the choice over metal or vinal would depend on what design was used. some of the designs here would look horrible on metal but great with like 2 layer vinyl and vice versa. I also like the idea of a owners club that some one brought up ealier.

I have a couple of ideas but I suck at photoshop and image creation so I'll do my best to describe it and maybe someone can whip something up?

1) I think the whole Race Bread joke is perfect for the desired purpose of the sticker: to subtly let those "in the know" what you're packing under the hood without advertising to would-be thieves. What about a simple sticker that says "Got Bread" in the same vein as the "Got Milk" ad campaign?

2) In keeping with the Race Bread theme, how about a simple graphic of a loaf of sliced bread with 2 checkered flags in the background, and then possibly "25 slices" written underneath (for the RB25 guys) or "20 slices" for the RB20 guys, etc?

Both stickers would be very simple and would be easily made by any respectable graphic shop. Just thought I'd help get the creative juices going...

I agree with you mkory. I liked that silver/aluminum looking one with the R and B cut into it.

But, I also agree that the Race Bread idea is a perfect way to badge our group... The whole idea in the first post of this thread was to come up with a way to show off what you have to only people who would understand what they are seeing... Like only the cool people will get it.

Personally, my favorite is the metal Skyline emblem shaped into an "RB" but here's a couple of quick attempts by myself on some logoes with the bread theme. Maybe they'll help keep everyone's creative juices flowing. I tried messing with some bread company logos but when I stopped and really looked at them, I realized that I don't think anyone would want a logo made from them.

what about modifying the nissan logo some way so nobody would say hey that guys got a wierd badge, but people in the know would realize what it is. Like making one without the word nissan on it and maybe cut a line in the middle of it. your average person prolly would never notice it or a lot of nissan guys wouln't either, but a RB'er could be able to catch it

You mean something along the lines of a Saleen (or is it Steeda) emblem? You know, the one that looks like they swirled the blue oval. That might be neat but I thought the consensus was that we wanted a decal rather than an emblem?

Okay, as mentioned earlier the new thread for the design pics is at zerothread?id=118014. DO NOT POST COMMENTS IN THE NEW THREAD. We want to keep the chatter to a minimum so that the logos aren't lost in the text. I went through this thread and tried my best to extract all serious designs and placed them in the new thread. If I missed your design, please post it in the new thread and give it the next logical number (You'll understand once you see the new thread). The cut-off date for submitting logos is Monday, May 30. At that point, we will create a poll where everyone can vote for a week. The poll will run May 30 - June 6. At that point we will have the final logo selected. There were discussions about whether the logo/emblem should be made of metal or vinyl. I think once the final design is picked, it should be obvious what material it should be made from.

Dan... I love it!!!

That's great... basically a diagram of an inline 6 built into the Nissan logo. That's fantastic. Wonder if you could throw a turbo on there... nah.. keep it simple.

Well guys, I'm trying to figure out how to post a poll thread that will allow me to have 36 nominees (one for each design listed in the pic thread). We may have to stream line the nominees or have bracket type, tournament polls to get the final design. I e-mailed a moderator to find out if they may be able to start a poll with enough slots but otherwise let me know what you guys think.

I say we quick narrow it to 5 or 10 then everyone that wants a vote can email you & you can tabulate them...

My Yahoo site will allow up to 5 options so we can maybe do it there with 2 or 3 polls & we can pick one from each, then go to here for the final contenders.

I like Dan Couga's myself, I think its the best!!! I am gonna have emblems made of that to go on the front & back of the car.

Well, the RB board will allow a poll with up to 8 choices, so if we can streamline them down to eight then we can do it here. I know alot of them are similar (logos #3-9, 30-33).

An easy way might be to set up 4 polls(possibly grouping the similar ones together to narrow the choices to 32) and take the top 2 from those polls and place them into a final poll.

I just wanted to say i think dan cougars idea is the best and if you narrow it down to just a few his should be in there for sure. I really hope it gets picked as the number one.. I would be proud to wear a badge that was that elegant and discreet at the same time...
