no don't get a challenger str8, handling is rubbish, get a 2009 G8 GXP with the extra 695$ manual transmission option. almost same price, 415 horsepower and 0-60 times well under 5.0 seconds.TheRussianBull wrote:well havnt traded it in yet, but either way im def gettin rid of it, and im stocking it back up, putting all stock performance parts back on, only thing staying is the cosmetics... which i hope isnt a problem... and aftermarket parts dont cost a thing wen u trade in or sell... unfortunatly, unless ur selling to someone that knows/wants those parts...
And feel free to blow it out your *** RussianRicer. Also, feel free to NOT post pictures here when you rice the **** out of that car ok?TheRussianBull wrote:So... after aaaaall the work i put into my versa, and $5,000 later, i decided to say goodbye to her... ima miss her... but its time for a lil change... I will be trading her in and buying myself a New 2009 Dodge Challenger SRT8. idk how smart that is with the gas prices predicted to be $4.50 by the summer for regular... and the economic crisis going on... but, i guess... "Live Fast, Die Young" heheh
So for all you haters out there RED DEVIL, blow it out your tailpipe, cus ima be cruisin with a smile on.
hold on, i want to see you add that up. list everything youve done and the cost, go.TheRussianBull wrote:So... after aaaaall the work i put into my versa, and $5,000
It's all opinion. I'd put Ford before Chevy just because I had less problems with my Bronco II (which was a horrid truck anyway) than I did with my S-10. I agree with Red Devil though. I haven't really liked Fords in the recent years but that new Taurus is a sweet looking car. I even told my fiance that if I was looking for another car I might actually walk onto a Ford lot.manvan wrote:um.... one for red devil, why ford, i hate fords, chevy before ford for sure, ive never seen a long lasting ford, even old hot rod fords use chevy engines(many do, not all).two.... so what are you selling off your car russianbull, i might want some stuff
If it were for a performance vehicle I'd go GM. They've got the Vette, CTS-V, G8 GXP, Solstice/Sky Redline, e.t.c. If I wanted a car that was a decent DD then I'd go with new or next gen Ford. That's if I had to go American. I'll NEVER buy a Chrysler/Dodge though. Thoroughly uninspiring design on their cars(excluding the Viper) and shoddy craftmanship.manvan wrote:um.... one for red devil, why ford, i hate fords, chevy before ford for sure, ive never seen a long lasting ford, even old hot rod fords use chevy engines(many do, not all).two.... so what are you selling off your car russianbull, i might want some stuff
i still have everything except the exhaust.Bubs daddy wrote:
I can't emphasize this enough to our younger Versa owners. Keep those stock parts. You will need them when you want to sell.
Well I did know someone with a Ford Ranger that had 270,000+ miles. It could have hit 300,000 easily. The only stupid reason it died is because it blew a headgasket because he wouldnt spend the money to fix his radiator hoses correctly (replace them) and dump the hose water he kept putting into it and replace it with fresh coolant. Instead, he went and bought a beat up 90s civic. What an upgrade... I don't understand why people would spend a few grand on another old car than just fix a simple problem like that that wouldn't cost anywhere near $100 to fix.manvan wrote:um.... one for red devil, why ford, i hate fords, chevy before ford for sure, ive never seen a long lasting ford, even old hot rod fords use chevy engines(many do, not all).two.... so what are you selling off your car russianbull, i might want some stuff
All I have to say is the new one was tested on the Nurburgring.....so I think they got the suspension thing down.alonsorules8 wrote:I would be wary of the new Camaro. The old ones were very warranty laden and were always in the shop. I had a 97 Camaro and although it lasted to 200,000 miles I was pouring money left and right into it just to keep it on the road.
The suspensions on those Camaro's never last. As a DD I went through 15 warranty replacements on the front suspension alone!!! Even Gm flew out a master tech form the camaro line to investigate why so many suspension failures were occurring and they came back with no response.
you get what you pay for. Incredible handling, excellent power curve, well built and no maintenance for 4 years/50,000 miles. Buy the base model 128i for 31k and you have a fine car. Much better than the ones you have mentioned IMHO plus significantly better resale.Red Devil wrote:The 1 series is overpriced.
