I wouldn't know how to tell if they are Replicas or not BUT they did come off of a Saleen Mustang.

Know how I can tell?

Either way the price was good and came with 3 good tires.

More progress... I got a full Turbo back exhaust EXCEPT I can't use the O2 housing because I am going Top mount and the O2 housing is T2 bottom mount.

Anyway... Pics

Here's the Log manifold after sand blasting it. The Turbo I probably won't keep UNLESS I can find a stock downpipe for a reasonable price.

First round of sanding... 80 Grit... I'm gonna bump it up to 100 Grit next... but probably not till next weekend.

(Still have to do the bumpers)

HERE is the bottom coat for the Rear... Black is gonna be up front and 'mist' over the sharp lines. I have a person trying to talk me out of the mist fade mostly because I have no clue what I'm doing.... Thoughts? Should I keep the sharp line or fade it?

And now turned around to do the front black tomorrow after the red is fully dried

Only have clear coating left to do... camera is dead, so I'll have pics in a few minutes after I get enough charge for a couple pics.

Notes: There no clear coat on yet... it IS fully dried... The wheels are not mounted yet... I have a turbo back exhaust going on when I start the turbo build (So I don't care that there is paint on the exhaust tip)

Yeah it is different... I decided to only do 2 clear coats for the time being... just in case over the next few weeks I decide that a black red fade would look better. Then it won't be a huge waste of clear or a pain to sand off.

Yeah I'm thinking of doing a serious 180 on that stuff... I'm looking into some other custom paint work.

Either way it's going to be 100% original.

I'm not trying to assume that everyone is going to like it BUT I do at least want to get to a point where it isn't distracting SO MUCH so that people are not enjoying the actual car.

OK so developments on two fronts...

1- I decided to change the paint scheme again. SO this one won't ever see the beauty of high gloss shine.

What we are going with is a blacked out look. The shine is going to have a touch of candy apple in it. SO, it won't noticeable unless you pass someone and in that case they will see a tint on red over the black. Depending on what the first coat looks like I may decided to put a second and go for a heavier tint. No big deal either way... I have time, the tools, the money, the energy and most importantly a 3 Bay garage... So we'll see what happens. That should start next week after I get the wheel on... This is important because... see #2

2- Today the 5 lug rotors should come in. I also ordered the hubs. I ordered the new tires for the back. I went with 295/35 ZR18 I know I might get flamed for using a huge tire but everything I am doing is setting up for drag/show. So I want a wide tire.

Why this is putting the paint job on hold one more week is because I am going to have to roll the fenders before I paint it. The fender rolling would most likely really screw up the paint since it's gotta come out super far.

Anyway... SO, next week around Saturday you guys should be seeing a TOTALLY different car.

Yeah I painted it black. I'm still gonna add something else before I lay the clear over it but I'm just not sure what exactly.

Got the rears on last night just long enough to roll my car back in the garage.Having said that, this end of the project will be complete this evening.

What's holding up progress is the rear Calipers... For some reason the Pistons are not going back in with the C Clamp. That is normally a SOP on brake Calipers... am I missing something? (I'm gonna make a thread for that problem)
