i dont think the Steelers have a "bandwagon." Now Pats fans on the other hand.....most of them are fans just because of the franchises past 10 years. There are so many Steelers fans across the country because even when we move, we still cheer for our team. When some people move, they forget about their old team, and adopt their new home team because its easier. Steelers fans are real fans.
Im the product of both my parents being from Pennsylvania, and both went to Duquesne University(right in the heart of Pittsburgh for those of you who dont know). Even though they moved down here to DC for their careers and to start a family, they still kept dear old Pittsburgh in their hearts and raised me to have black and gold blood running through my veins. Even though i was born and raised in Montgomery County, i have been a Steeler/Penguin/Pirate fan from day one, and i can thank my pops for taking me to games in Pittsburgh from when i was a baby. He brought me up right, and i will do the same when i have kids. Thats what Steelers fans do.
Just because you live somewhere doesnt mean that you have to cheer for that areas teams. If that were the case there wouldnt be any true fans. Steelers fans are true fans.
