[QUOTE=LinkNuc]Yeah, real cool make fun of a Deceased Myron Cope's Terrible Towel which was created by his autistic son who has never spoken a word. He used to wave a towel around to cheer for the Steelers as a kid. That is how the terrible towel was born. d!ck![QUOTE]

We are all pasionate about our teams and proud of them for being in the playoffs, but lets keep the "d!ck" talk to a minimum! There have been alot of blown calls all year long. Refs are human and make mistakes. It seems the Ravens are always on the short end of the calls, so it about time we had one go our way. I just hope that Both Teams bring there "A" game, because the Ravens looked tired last week (17 straight games will do that) and the Steelers did look pretty good sunday. May the best team win!

you cant say the Ravens seem to always be on the short end of the stick. every teams gets blown calls. If anyone got the short end of the stick this year is was the Chargers....and they overcame all the bad calls and still made it into the playoffs.

bina, then for the reason that i listed above, Im fine with you living in MD and being a Steelers fan. Good point about the no jobs available in Pit and fans moving, but I do work with so many Pit fans that have no connection to the city and were born and raised their entire lives in Baltimore, like myself, and have no pride in their city. Thats what pisses me off.

If your parents are from Pit, and raised you a Steelers fan, thats not your fault...just bad parenting. j/k

good luck to all on Sun

what i dont understand is why you think someone should cheer for a team just because they live in that teams city or area.

in my traveling to different cities, i have always seen so many different fans of different teams living in the same place. for instance, I was just in Va, and I know that they dont have a NFL team, but I went to a bar on a Sunday and there were like 20 teams represented by fans there.

Im not saying that there is anything wrong with that, but personally i prefer the atmosphere of towns like Baltimore and Philly and Pittsburgh. Those cities are very proud of where they live and the teams that represent their city. I might even dare to say that Philly is worse than Baltimore. If you walk into a bar on gameday in Baltimore wearing another teams jersey, you will be harassed the whole game. but for the most part we can be civil. In Philly, there are bars where they will not allow entry if another team is represented, and I respect that.

I understand that people move, and if i were to ever leave this town, I would still be a Ravens fan. But in hardcore football towns, it is hard to except other teams' fans no matter where they grew up. because these cities consist mostly of hard working, blue collar, football fans. Football and other sports are their escape from the bad things that may be going on in their lives and its what they love.

Basically what this rant is saying is: I like cities that rally behind one team, and that is why i like Baltimore. not a lot of competition in one place, just unity for the same ultimate goal... A Ravens Victory On Sunday!!!!

Now there is a reason for the thousands of Steelers bars across the globe and its really because we moved out due to no work. You have to admit we travel better than any football team in the NFL and it helps that we are so spread out across the country.

You are right though it is extra sweet to get a W over our rivals, but it sucks so much harder coming up short...those losses sting for a while.

Could potentially be a turnpike Superbowl...

oh and for the most part BAL fans are pretty good, Baltimore in general is a pretty cool place and fairly friendly...Baltimore people even have a goofy *** accent thats indigenous to that one small area just lke Pittsburgh n' at...
jealous! i go to all home games, and away games if they are close and I can afford it, but I have been looking on a lot of sites for tickets and there is no way im going to be able to afford these prices so soon after the holidays.(and those damn Stillen sales)

So youre saying that those Steelers fans that you work with should be Ravens fans just because they live in Baltimore and have no affiliation with Pittsburgh? That seems a little opposite of what the US stands for....freedom of choice....sounds like you guys in Baltimore hate the US

So it begins……enjoy

NUMBER 1

On the first day of school a first grade teacher explains to her class that she is a Steelers fan.

She asks her students to raise their hands if they, too, are Steelers fans. Wanting to impress their teacher, everyone in the class raises their hand except one little girl.

The teacher looks at the girl with surprise, 'Janie, why didn't you raise your hand?' Because I'm not a Steelers fan,' she replied.

The teacher, still shocked, asked, 'Well, if you are not a Steelers fan, then who are you a fan of?'

'I am a Ravens fan, and proud of it,' Janie replied.

The teacher could not believe her ears. 'Janie please tell us why you are a Ravens fan?'

Because my mom is a Ravens fan, and my dad is Ravens fan, so I'm a Ravens fan too!''

Well ,' said the teacher in a obviousl y annoyed tone, 'that is no reason for you to be a Ravens fan. You don't have to be just like your parents all of the time. What if your mom was an idiot and your dad was a moron, what would you be then?' Then,' Janie smiled, 'I'd be a Steelers fan.'

NUMBER 2 A Cardinal's fan, an Eagles fan, a Ravens fan and a Steelers fan - are climbing a mountain and arguing about who loves his team more.

The Cardinal's fan insists he is the most loyal. 'This is for the Cardinals! ' he yells, and jumps off the side of the mountain.

Not to be outdone, the Eagles fan shouts, 'This is for the Eagles!' and throws himself off the mountain.

The Ravens fan is next to profess his love for his team. He yells, 'This is for everyone!' and pushes the Steelers fan off the mountain.

NUMBER 3 A Ravens fan liked to amuse himself by scaring every Steelers fan he saw strutting down the street in an obnoxious Black & Gold shirt. He would swerve his van as if to hit them then swerve back just missing them.

One day while driving along, he saw a priest. He thought he would do a good deed, so he pulled over and asked the priest, 'Where are you going, Father?' 'I' m going to give Mass at St. Francis church, about two miles down the road,' replied the priest. 'Climb in, Father. I'll give you a lift!' The priest climbed into the passenger seat, and they continued down the road.

Suddenly, the driver saw a Steelers fan walking down the road, and he instinctively swerved as if to hit him. But, as usual, he swerved back onto the road just in time.

Even though he was certain that he had missed the guy, he still heard a loud THUD. Not knowing where the noise came from, &nb sp;he glanced in his mirrors but still didn't see anything.

He then remembered the priest, an d he turned to the priest and said, sorry Father, I almost hit that Steelers fan.'

'That's OK,' replied the priest 'I got him with the door.'

everyone hates on the Steelers, but i cant wait to see the silence once they have that ring on their finger.

Q: What do they call a drug ring in Baltimore?A: A huddle

Q: There are 4 Baltimore ravens in a car, who's driving?A: The police.

Q: Why can't Jamal Lewis be in the Ravens huddle anymore?A: It's a parole violation for him to associate with known felons.

The Baltimore Ravens have adopted a new "Honor System". "Yes, your Honor", "No, your Honor".

The Ravens had a 9 and 7 season this year. 9 arrests and 7 convictions.

Q: How do the Ravens spend the first week of training camp?A: Studying the Miranda Rights

A Steelers fan in a bar leans over to the guy next to him and says, "Wanna hear a joke about Ravens fans?"

The guy next to him replies, "Well before you tell that joke you should know something. I'm 6' tall and 220 pounds and I'm a Raven fan. The guy sitting next to me is 6'2" tall, 240 pounds and he's a Raven fan, and the guy sitting next to him is 6'5", 280 pounds and he's a Raven fan, too. Now, do you still wanna tell that joke?"

The Steelers fan says, "Nah, not if I'm gonna have to explain it three times."

I love it!!!! Rivalries are the greatest. Oh ALL OF THOSE JOKES are "generic" jokes, replace teams at will...I have told those a million times usually with Cleveland as the Punchline...but ere's two others:

A guy walks into a bar in Baltimore with his cat and sits at the bar. He asks the bartender if its ok if he keeps his cat here.

Barkeep says, ok but if he acts up you're both out of here. Baltimore goes down the field on the 1st drive and kicks a field goal. The cat gets on its hind feet and runs up and down the bar high-fiving everyone.

Bartender says, Wow! That's really cool, what's he do if they score a touchdown?

Man says, I don't know I've only had him for 2 years.

What's the safest place during a tornado?

M&T Bank Stadium, they never get a touchdown there.

Oh, BTW are Eagles fans even allowed in this conversation? Philly can eat at the big boys table when (IF) they ever get a championship.

The Ravens, Steelers, and Eagles have all equally been to the Superbowl once this decade. We just had the misfortune of playing the Pats during their crushing era, and lost by the foot of Vinatieri

Must be nice to be in a Division like the AFC North huh? I mean, whats it like to have only half the division with a winning record?

Once this decade, once last decade,

4 times in the 70's (could almost count 1980 superbowl win as an appearance in the 80's)

Most apperances ever in the AFC Chamionship (14)....that means that the Steelers have appeard in 31% of the AFC Championship games.

Which I guess counts for most wins AND most losses in the Championship ...lol... and of course both of those records will be intact after Sunday

Philly yinz had a nice run of NFC apperances in the 2000's (Including this year) but 2 bowl appearances and most importantly ZERO championships, sorry, maybe next year you can eat without a bib.

I'll give ya the AFC North ain't all that but both teams ARE in teh Championship..oh and before you go sqwaking aout divisions..

Look at the NFC EAST 2000-2004 (When you guys had your run)... SAME THING, 1 well over 500 1 sort of 2 under, hell one those years

Phiilly was over the other 3 were 6-10

I love arguing with Philladeplhia fans, they just squawk no research...

To the Eagles Fans: lets not forget this gem of a headline from week 12

"Ravens beat Eagles; McNabb pulled after 1st half"

36-7 and the 7 was a kick return....no offensive scoring

Yeah, actually though it works much better with the Browns as the punchline, I wish they would have played detroit at the end of the year, I am positive they could have beat Cleveland they are so bad....and for so long.

Thats hilarious I went to high school with the guy in the front right corner of the cheerleading pic.

Our accent in some parts of Baltimore is so bad that we make fun of it every day, so dont feel bad about that.

im fine with the Edgar Allen Poe thing. he was a bad-*** poet who spent most of his life, and died, in Baltimore. Honestly, i cant remember exactly what they were off the top of my head, but when we got the team the name choices were pretty awful. The Ravens was actually the best name to vote for.

Well, the steelerettes might beg to differ, they were all from Robert Morris and existed from 1961-1970, but were never "Ofiicial"

Cleveland and Green Bay do not have cheelleaders either

Oh we make fun of our accent too, but I like it it makes us unique.

"baut to go dahn tahn and grab a jumbo and an arhn city"

And opposing teams are not allowed to have their cheeleaders on the sidelines during the game (NFL only).

BUT STEELEY MCFUC*KINBEAM IS THE QUEEREST THING NEXT TO KORDELL STEWART (ITS CLOSE)
