you cant say the Ravens seem to always be on the short end of the stick. every teams gets blown calls. If anyone got the short end of the stick this year is was the Chargers....and they overcame all the bad calls and still made it into the playoffs.mpbclutch33 wrote:We are all pasionate about our teams and proud of them for being in the playoffs, but lets keep the "d!ck" talk to a minimum! I just hope that Both Teams bring there "A" game, because the Ravens looked tired last week (17 straight games will do that) and the Steelers did look pretty good sunday. May the best team win!

in my traveling to different cities, i have always seen so many different fans of different teams living in the same place. for instance, I was just in Va, and I know that they dont have a NFL team, but I went to a bar on a Sunday and there were like 20 teams represented by fans there.bina12834 wrote:what i dont understand is why you think someone should cheer for a team just because they live in that teams city or area.
jealous! i go to all home games, and away games if they are close and I can afford it, but I have been looking on a lot of sites for tickets and there is no way im going to be able to afford these prices so soon after the holidays.(and those damn Stillen sales)LinkNuc wrote:Yeah, this weekend is gonna be awesome I'll be at the game. PIT/BAL are my favorite games, they are so physical, they beat the livin crap out of each other and leave it all on the field.
Now there is a reason for the thousands of Steelers bars across the globe and its really because we moved out due to no work. You have to admit we travel better than any football team in the NFL and it helps that we are so spread out across the country.
You are right though it is extra sweet to get a W over our rivals, but it sucks so much harder coming up short...those losses sting for a while.
Could potentially be a turnpike Superbowl...
oh and for the most part BAL fans are pretty good, Baltimore in general is a pretty cool place and fairly friendly...Baltimore people even have a goofy *** accent thats indigenous to that one small area just lke Pittsburgh n' at...
Bmore-coupe wrote:but I do work with so many Pit fans that have no connection to the city and were born and raised their entire lives in Baltimore, like myself, and have no pride in their city. Thats what pisses me off.
So youre saying that those Steelers fans that you work with should be Ravens fans just because they live in Baltimore and have no affiliation with Pittsburgh? That seems a little opposite of what the US stands for....freedom of choice....sounds like you guys in Baltimore hate the USBmore-coupe wrote:in my traveling to different cities, i have always seen so many different fans of different teams living in the same place. for instance, I was just in Va, and I know that they dont have a NFL team, but I went to a bar on a Sunday and there were like 20 teams represented by fans there.
Im not saying that there is anything wrong with that, but personally i prefer the atmosphere of towns like Baltimore and Philly and Pittsburgh. Those cities are very proud of where they live and the teams that represent their city. I might even dare to say that Philly is worse than Baltimore. If you walk into a bar on gameday in Baltimore wearing another teams jersey, you will be harassed the whole game. but for the most part we can be civil. In Philly, there are bars where they will not allow entry if another team is represented, and I respect that.
I understand that people move, and if i were to ever leave this town, I would still be a Ravens fan. But in hardcore football towns, it is hard to except other teams' fans no matter where they grew up. because these cities consist mostly of hard working, blue collar, football fans. Football and other sports are their escape from the bad things that may be going on in their lives and its what they love.
Basically what this rant is saying is: I like cities that rally behind one team, and that is why i like Baltimore.

Hey Bmore what the Steelers Bar called that right across the street fronm the Ravens bar down there?
I know that the Pittsburgh Sttelers fan Club of Baltimore is housed there...damn I forget they are literally across from each other....
If they win, it will be because of this ringbina12834 wrote:everyone hates on the Steelers, but i cant wait to see the silence once they have that ring on their finger.
