So, a friend of mine is selling some coilovers for 650.... and they come with a free coupe shell with a clean title (no seats).. just thought I would let people here know in case anyone is interested in scooping it up. He is also selling the rebuilt KA and transmission that I sold him from my s14. There could be a cheap car right there.......... just sayin.

No, not losing any coolant. I did a little experiment today...on the way to work with the A/C on the temps are fine until I come to this overpass. Well as soon as I start to climb the overpass the car starts to heat up. Well today I turned the A/C off right before going up the hill, then turned it back on after I had gotten down the other side and the car was fine. wtf?

Damn I hate dealing with eBay people. Just got my fans. The mounting kits that are "included" with the auction didn't come, just the fans. Now I'm trying to get them to send me the mounting kits... I know I could pick them up for $10 or so a pack but that's twenty bucks I shouldn't have to spend. It's the second time this month that I have gotten an incomplete order from someone on eBay...

And Tom I was thinking about a z32 maf & injectors to get a few extra horses but am not convinced it would make a big enough difference with the NA KA to warrant buying some sort of fuel management and a tune...

What could possibly be wrong with the A/C though? My car is literally falling apart on me to be honest. It needs so much work and I don't feel like working on it. lol

He was planning to put it in the s13, so if you wanted this motor you would have to see if he wanted to part some of this stuff.. but yea. He's asking more than I sold it to him for, so he's probably obo, but he does have a few extra parts in there that I didnt sell him.

Not I! lol

:nono:

On another note, now my headlights are out on the drivers side, same as the fan. I know the two are not related though. The HID's kicked on fine until yesterday, then I noticed only one would kick on when I turned them on... Tried today and found if I turn the nob straight to headlights it doesn't come on 99% of the time. If I put on the parking lights first and wait about a second or two and turn on the headlights they both come on, but the drivers side comes on about a second or two after the passenger's side... I guess it is either the relay or the ballast, not checking it in the rain though.

Is it always something or is it just me?

^^theres really not much difference in price. That one is 450 for just the motor... the one that used to be mine is rebuilt and includes the transmission and wiring harness and s***. He would probably separate it.

I'll probably get around to it Saturday. I haven't had time yet. I think that's the only thing else that it could be...the water was super f*** rusted before I flushed it all out.

Ninja edit:

Yea I'd only be interested in the motor and possibly the harness too. I don't need all that other nonsense laying around.

Na I gotta drive to work today, so I don't want to tear it apart. I'm probably going to put it off until I get paid in case I need to buy another one.

So, is there a "legal" way to depressurize A/C at home?

I went to the CFRC drift event today. I was actually very pleasantly suprised at how smoothly it went and the course layout was simple but still offered a couple challenges for everybody. For me, I absolutely sucked on the initiation like allll day. The course started with a drift towards the crowd and I think that freaked me out so much. I was too afraid to go too fast and lose control and hit someone. haha. But, the rest of the course I got perfect every time.... EXCEPT for the time I actually got the entry! I was soo pissed because my last judged run, I got the entry perfect and I was just coming around the part I had no problem with, and I just kinda lost it. It was a slow motion, lose speed and spin type thing. I was so upset! I was so happy about the entry that i f*** the rest up! haha. I was told that if I hadn't spun on that run that I may have gotten 3rd place. That was a bummer. haha. Anyway, I'll post pics eventually. I'm still recovering from the heat. I almost passed out at the end of the event.

Thank you Tom, your the s***. (think I already said that)

My real problem is managing to find a way to get the damn things. All I have is my s14 to move s*** in, that's not going to work... I could take the RV but that would kill $100 in gas easy and I would have to find a trailer of some sort to tow behind the RV...

I need to do another compression test and do it by the manual this time. I think I was doing it wrong last time now that I looked over that section. The KA has only overheated that once since I rigged the second fan to stay on.

I just have to see what I have to spend this second, I'll call my lawyer tomorrow and see what I have left from my altima wreck funds.
