Anyone have a copy of Nissan Datascan 1.5x? Not the versions beneath that.. I already have 1.42.. but my new car only really works with the later revisions.

Thanks

I want to do something, but I don't want a lot of bulls***. A calm meet might be cool. I don't want to get drunk and drive, I'm not that low. I don't want to street race, I have common sense. I'm not into screaming for no f-ing reason.

If the meet is going to be calm and not involve all of the aforementioned bulls*** I would love to hang out. It would be nice to meet some cool people, and if you need help with something I would be more than happy to help you out if I can. It would be cool to have someone to work on cars with. s*** I'll help just for the fun.

well guys, after using my buddys 04 Silverado as tow rig over sunday, it made me realize "I GOTTA GET ME OE OF THESE!!", and the search began...

got on CL and found a 1999 Silverado Ext Cab, V8, 4x4, tonnau cover, Foose 23" rims with newish tires... and the guy wants to trade straight up for my 1997 Audi A4 Quattro (AWD) 2.8L V6 5spd.. so i'm jumping on the trade, as i REALLY need a tow rig if i'm going to be going to all these long distance events...

so i'm going from this, one of my two daily drivers (with mechanical problems that are very $$$ to repair)....

to this....

and it matches the 240!!! kinda dirty cause it's been sitting for a while, but f*** it, it's just a tow rig to tow my 240/future drift car to events, and for work...

only one problem, the transmission's blown... luckily, the guy in the pic above with the hat and shades, has a freshly rebuilt and upgraded transmission he'll sell me for $500, and have it installed for $250....

either way, i'm getting a tow rig, and when i sell the S10, i'll be getting a car trailer with a tire rack and tool box...

s*** just got real son....

getting a black on black 2000 Silverado ext cab Z71 4x4, with the 6.0L, extended tow package, mint black leather interior, stepside bed, bose stereo, and some tintz..

ultimate tow rig...

and i think i saw your car the other day.... white, no dents, fairly clean... good stuff

When I had a car and wanted to sit around and "talk" about cars, I'd either get online or invite people over to my house for beers and car bulls*** chit chat. Why hang out in a parking lot when we could hang out somewhere comfortable. I miss those days with 240's all over my yard haha.

I didn't go post up in a parking lot to talk about cars, I had better things to do. If I met up with people it was to drive my car into a ditch.

Just my .02

Or meet up at a restaurant and have dinner or somewhere/something. God make it an event worth going for.

Ricer meets only appeal to ricers.

wow 255k and blown trannyI Would say lets rebuild that trannybut its a truck who really cares how muchwear you put on the transmission internals if its just a tow truckswap the mother but 255k thats a lot of miles when you talkingAmerican trucks just from experience.... I would only take it if the cost was some rediculous inexpensive number an offer you cant refuse

well if we can get more people to go to the meets on a regular basis, maybe we can set up a drive time.. untill then, lets still meet up @ the spot and hopefully the word will get out more and more people will show up... until then, its @ the same place... behind moe's (by the movie theater) on newberry @ 9pm... basically right before newberry actually splits into 2nd and university..

Some of us have lost loved ones to drunk drivers. I personally think they are p****** as they usually don't die the innocent party does. The drunk tends not to care about anything from that point except weather he/she is going to lose their license and/or go to jail. I would never invite people to my house to drink and then go drive home. That does sound fun though -the drinking. I would invite everyone to my place but the place has turned into a swamp.

That sounds very mature, and exactly what the real ricers do. It gives us all a bad name. I'm glad you have better things to do the meet will be better without the ricer s***. I'm getting sick of seeing people lay down street bikes anyway.

I'm hoping we can get a good constant meet without this kind of activity and have some fun networking and making new friends with like minded interests. We don't have to get drunk for that, we don't have to wreck our cars...

Some of us have medical bills and are broke. I would love to go do something afterwords but yeah... I'm broke and with the economy it seems a lot of us are. If your not in this situation good for you, I am.

Wasn't aware we had someone here with their doctorate in drunkness. And a statistician to boot.

I can post my position and back it up with my own claims too. I think people that don't work on their own cars are p******. They tend to be excited about meeting up with other p****** and talking about all the work they don't do on their cars.

Sounds stupid right? I guess that's the beauty of generalities.
7anshin8r wrote: I would never invite people to my house to drink and then go drive home.
Not everyone that came drank, and not everyone that drank drove home. Plenty of people stayed the night on my couch after a night of hanging out drinking and talking about cars or even working on cars (WHOA). If they drank and drove home I trust their a** to know their limit. I know mine. I wouldn't let someone drive home blackout drunk. And I sure as hell never held my gun to a guest's head and forced them to drink, then drive their car home. Get off your high horse.

I was making a joke about my situation. I break my car, I fix it. We make our own beds buddy, nobody associates what you do with your car with what I do with mine, or at least I hope not!

Seeing people lay down street bikes? That's out of left field. What promoted that? Tourette's?

You know what else you don't have to do for your vision? Leave your house. Sit behind the keyboard; it's the same thing. My whole point.
