soooooooooo anywayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

I remember the ditch moment.. that was scary s*** when it happened. i was a couple cars behind you...

but yea. I'll be in Gville next thursday evening (3rd) so I'm down to hang out! I probably wont be in my 240, but whatever.. we'll just have to see.

parking lots are fine with me.. same with if we decide to get food afterward. Even if youre not doing well with the times and cant eat out, you can at least go to the restaurant of choice, order a drink and just chill. you dont have to eat. its just more comfortable to sit and chat over a meal than in a parking lot..

I've had a few people close to me loose there life after being hit by drunk drivers. I have a dark spot inside me from the pain, that will never go away. Drunks tend to go limp when they hit, and statistically make it out alive. Drunk drivers will always piss me off. There is no excuse.
Clawhammer wrote:I can post my position and back it up with my own claims too. I think people that don't work on their own cars are p******. They tend to be excited about meeting up with other p****** and talking about all the work they don't do on their cars. Sounds stupid right? I guess that's the beauty of generalities.
I agree with you on that, I do all the work I can. My health does not permit me to do much more than change my oil and belts, things of that nature. My broken neck is still fusing. Let's see a p**** walk out of the hospital after a neck fusion on the third morning. On top of that I'm offering my help to anyone, within my limits. I'll be more than happy to clean parts, paint, whatever I can. The only thing I didn't do on my car was the rad. swap. Too much pain to bend down like that. Tom was nice enough to help me with that. If anyone ever asks, it was Sullivan Racing that did that for me, out of kindness and a little cash.
Clawhammer wrote:Not everyone that came drank, and not everyone that drank drove home. Plenty of people stayed the night on my couch after a night of hanging out drinking and talking about cars or even working on cars (WHOA). If they drank and drove home I trust their a** to know their limit. I know mine. I wouldn't let someone drive home blackout drunk. And I sure as hell never held my gun to a guest's head and forced them to drink, then drive their car home. Get off your high horse.
Just like when I have a party, except no one has been interested in cars. If someone had been drinking they stay, if they don't want to stay the night they don't drink. No drinking and driving no matter how straight they thought they were. I'm just saying it doesn't sound like a good idea... Hey everyone come have some drinks for a car specific event.
Clawhammer wrote:I was making a joke about my situation. I break my car, I fix it. We make our own beds buddy, nobody associates what you do with your car with what I do with mine, or at least I hope not!
LOL I just don't want my nissan associated with reckless driving like the honda drivers in town.
Clawhammer wrote:Seeing people lay down street bikes? That's out of left field. What promoted that? Tourette's?
What promoted that was talk of reckless driving and drinking (didn't know you were joking). I've seen many people lay down bikes being reckless &/or drinking.
Clawhammer wrote:You know what else you don't have to do for your vision? Leave your house. Sit behind the keyboard; it's the same thing. My whole point.
Different strokes for different folks I guess. You have your opinion and I have mine. Let's leave that at that.

Agreed. I can have a drink and chill at a restaurant with everyone and talk, even if I am broke. It does sound more comfortable than hanging out in a parking lot, which was not what I really wanted to do. Talk yes, sit all night in a parking lot, lol no that does not sound fun. Next week I will come out too, I'll let you hear the sound I was talking about.

It sounds like you and I are on the same page with what we want to do. Civilized meet with little drama. Good people having good conversation. I could stand to waste some time myself. All I ever have time for anymore is doctors appointments and Physical Therapy.

I definitely know how you feel, except my situation is slightly different. I feel like I'm always going to doctor appointments and getting bloodwork done, or a bunch of random ultrasounds. I was supposed to go to physical therapy, but I've been putting it off because I'm stuborn and I still don't see it necessary.

As far as working on cars, I always need help. I'm still learning and usually have no idea what I'm doing. But also, I'm not really strong enough for a lot of it. I struggle with health when trying to do things like working on cars. I'm not recovering from a broken bone of anything, but a year ago I was diagnosed with Sjogrens Syndrome (google it), Rheumatoid arthritis and Fibromyalgia after stuggling with symptoms and going undiagnosed for over 3 years. I'm tired all the time no matter how much sleep I get, and I have to deal with random aches and pains all the time. Some days I feel like nothing is wrong, but there are other days when I feel like I can't move and can't get out of bed.

So its not always what it seems when some people don't work on their own cars. Sometimes, its not exactly a choice. I really try to (especially since I have to overcome that "oh, girls cant do stuff" s***), and sometimes thats why my cars dont change very quickly, but its not because I don't want to. So lets cut all the drama and judging because clearly, we all enjoy cars whether we can work on them or not.

/end drama

ok, so. Thursday. Whats happening? where are we meeting and where do we want to eat/chill and have a (non-alcoholic) drink?

Well if either of you two need any help working on cars I'll be glad to help (Kelsey should already know this). I am always down to turn some wrenches.

Thank you, I will remember that. Same goes to you, if I can help with it please let me! Like I said I am limited but I can clean parts and paint etc... I can do some electronics installation also (radio installation, wiring speakers, amps, some alarm installation)

Almost got talked into trading my Zenki for a '71 240z yesterday... It was tempting because I have always wanted a 240z.

ok, so, I need wheel suggestions. I really like the look of Volk TE37s and 5zigen GN+ but those are out of my price range so I'm looking for a similar style wheel for a realistic and not ridiculous price...

Right now I'm leaning towards MB weapons... but I'm sure there are wheels out there that I'm not thinking about so lemme know if you think of something I might like.

(and I'm looking at 17" wheels so keep that in mind too)

Rota P45s are always nice too, and great cost, offsets, widths, sizes and all that...

looks good with a staggared set up, P45F's up front, and 45R's out back..

MB weapons are always nice!!!

who cares if i have em?

i had a Zenki before youi had a SR before youi've had more Zenkis than youi've done more work than you

none of that means whatever you're doing or will be doing is cause i've done it... look at all the cookie cutter 240's with 5zigen FN10r-C and sportmaxxs....

just get em in a different color (cause gold does kinda suck, sports bronze is where it's at), it's not like everyones gonna be like "oooh ooooh you got those cause blackzenki has em!!!" they'll tell you the same thing they tell me "great looking wheels, too bad they're rotas..."

just get em in a different color, and in the +12 offset....

well back to transmission work with Velcro AKA Matt, and Angelopol AKA Chris... we're doing big big clutch work, on two cars, at the same time!!!! WOOOTWOOOT

o0o0o0o ok... so im not gonna sit here and argue w/ u.. i did say it.. but i was mainly refering to that pic you posted of the large amount of empty beer bottles that you said that "you and marshall" drank... it had nothing to do w/ "the drink u had b4 i met u @ the ale house those couple times.."

as for marshall, again, refering to that pic... i havent even met you, know you, i dont even know what u look like so wtvr... no disrespect man.. same goes to u tom.. i strictly meant it as a lil joke.. nothing serious...

o0o and so what if i drive a FWD car... whats ur point?? ive had plenty of 240 guys and other guys compliment me... its different than all the other FWD civic's.. so what??? i love my car and thats all that matters... so if ur trying to diss my car, go ahead.. idc.. its not ur car so y should it matter??

anyways, on another note, who's going out this thurs 2 the meet??

I had one last night! It was awesome. Delivery guy suggested I have it with milk, but I'm not one to go from beer to milk. I'd recommend milk for all the boys out there, chocolate lava cake don't mess around!
