My opinions?

If you really are going to get involved in drifting (i mean really involved), then don't bother getting s14 seats...You'll need something to keep your a** in place, so you'll be better off getting a racing seat of some sort.

All that stuff that you had listed in your original post...well, that's gonna take a lot of money. You'll find out pretty soon how quickly it all adds up. Just letting you know.

hey anfernee...how much longer till you lock this...or can we have some fun with him?

so how you doing buford? i think your head just sploded when you said " so umm, for gear ratios...yada yada yada"

go do some research instead of asking us about a brush guard (your never gonna live that down if you survive here) and then you won't have to ask R tard questions and then get butthurt about it later.

p.s. can you send me noods to [email protected] ? thanks, i'm kinda horny and need to get off.

I have to say something as a fellow teenager here on Nico. I've been here since the year I got my first S13. I knew NOTHING when I joined. I was exactly like you. Had all these thoughts of engine swaps and sh*t, but had barely ever turned a wrench (before you flame me for saying that, I know you have HELPED on working on cars). Now here I am. I wrecked my S13 in October of last year because of steering related problems and my own stupidity. I attempted drifting in a place I shouldn't have with steering problems that were unknown to me, but they are completely my fault. I regret it every day of my life. I suggest for you that you do a few light mods and if you really want to, get some coils and maybe new wheels, but no engine swaps for now. Wait until you HONESTLY know how to turn a wrench before you go doing engine swaps. You don't wanna end up swapping, but putting something in the wrong place and blowing your motor. I have ideas for another S13 floating in my head and I have ideas for TONS of other cars too, but I'm keeping them to myself until I am out of college and in the automotive field because that's where I wanna be. If and when I get another S13, I'm going light mods, such as coils, wheels and tires, full exhaust, intake, injectors, spacers, a lip, and some fender flares. It'll cost a pretty penny, but I will hopefully have that at some point in my life. I really think you should listen to these guys instead of calling them idiots. They are people that are smarter than you in the automotive field and they'll help you out a lot like they've helped me. I hope you read this.

He's right. You rejected a lot of good advice. You were kinda being a d!ck dude. Nobody on here is asking for it, but you. If you had just accepted everyone's advice, nobody would've been d!ck-like toward you. Everybody on here is GLAD to help you with problems and decisions. Just remember, use the search function before posting up a thread about what wheels to get or where to find a part. Trust me. Listen to these guys or you're gonna regret it.

hey ahh a buford, just wondering..don't forums such as this one and 95% of others have a "SEARCH" button for those kind of questions and like you know...answers. I mean if someone keeps asking like...these same questions...and then getting opinions but keep saying "i'll look into that" but they don't have the first clue about what the other person is talking about...and like umm continues to ask for advice...i think it's only reasonable to use the "BIG FLASHING RED SEARCH BUTTON" unless you already have a basic knowledge/understanding of how things work and then you can make a thread asking if part "a" or part "b" would be better for my specific application knowing full well the specs of said parts but you would like the opinions of your "fellow" ,and i use that term loosely, niconauts for further evaluation.

or maybe usefulness is just a word un-useful people use in order to make themselves feel useful

What part of my post did you not get?

Just because a thought comes into your little prepubescent head, doesn't mean you need to type it.

Your daddy needs to spend more time in the garage with you, because you don't know what you're talking about (which you made VERY clear with your blabbing about what diff you think you're going to buy).

Get a license, learn to drive, change some fluids, do some maintenance, read those how-to articles, and THEN we'll discuss your build.

Until then, you're just typing to see your own thoughts.

Less posting, more research. I'm not gonna say it again.

Useful? No one's gonna spoon-feed you information, kid.

Use foul language on this forum again and see what happens. I'd take a belt to my kid if he was as disrespectful as you.

alright. i will deff. do that more. and i know this doesn't include you but when i make a comment, i doesnt open the door for the people of nico to be that way. they could have done what you have and said that. i mean i know im all nOOb and whatnot but when people like you and a few others post stuff like this, it is actually useful. i'm not trying to say everyone on here is just all d!ck or anything.

I understand that. I know a few people went slightly overboard, but you did as well. Maybe you learned a bit of a lesson from all this, but definitely consider what I and everyone else has said...specifically Greg. He's been in the field for decades and knows what he's doing. You can learn a lot from him and if you get to know him and don't get on his bad side, he can teach you quite a bit. Just don't do something stupid or he'll mock you for it.

Yeah, research is really the only way to go. Unforunantely, here, in the 240gen section, if you ask for advice...you're more than likely gonna get suggestions.
