I respect your introductory knowledge of the 240sx, but it's not necessarily a good starter car. If you're learning to drive, something safe and reliable would be a plus. A civic is safe and reliable --> it's slow.

K dude, since you don't even want to acknowledge our advice and are even mocking it, have it ricer boy.

You can have fun looking stupid with your 10 POINT ROLL cage with oem seats. I'm sure you can mount your "racing seat belt harness" on your old rear seat belt bolts. And then crush your spinal cord after trying to drift. But at least your front end will be fine since you have a trailer trash/redneck brush guard. I hear PVC piping works well. But be extra careful attaching it to your Extreme Dimensions widebody kit, you might scratch your Sportmaxes.

Btw, Dukes of Hazard called. It wants its color back.

And seriously, everyone has tried giving you valid suggestions and to point you in the right direction, what's your problem dude?

Meh, nothing actually. I just don't like them anymore because they were d!ck at SEMA and because of what happened with Greg and Bex. They've lost my respect.

I should have said steelies cause that's probably what he's gonna end up running.

dont really have a problem, just it seems like instead of people say "naa, i would not put aroll cage in for a DD " instead they go into like a flaming mode and act like that. i mean, advise and opinions aren't the same as trying to throw someone's thought out idea's for their car. i mean if people wanna act like that then cool, but i wont take advise or opinions from people that just say stupid crap. oh, i almost forgot..thanks for the rice boy comment. i can save that for your next post

Maybe the first thing would be to pass your driver's license test.

Nothing wrong with acting a little mature. You should try it sometime.

My mistake for stooping to your level a couple posts back.

You can post by yourself now. I will say nothing more in this lame excuse for a thread. After all, it's your car. Do what you please.

For the issuance of a Tennessee Intermediate Driver License:

* Must be at least 16 years of age

Thats off of Tenndots site, may i ask how you bypassed the law?

actually, to "obtain" your license you have to be 16. you are able to take the drivers test as long as you have had your drivers permit for 6 months. i have had mine since last march

A. Buford.... Don't get all butt-hurt when someone on a forum gives their opinion. Just because they disagree with something you want to do doesn't mean that they are "haters". Afterall, this is a FORUM, people are open to voice their opinions.

Now, the best piece of advice I can give you is to sell your 240. Seriously, get you a nice FWD Integra or Civic SI or something. You need to have some experience in a car a little more user-friendly.

Now, if you want to hold on to the 240 ( If I were in your shoes, I would be hard-headed due to my love for the S-chassis), think out what you do to it. Don't do something stupid (IE = BRUSH GUARD) that you will regret later.

Stay away from things like welded differentials and vLSDs for awhile. You need to learn how to drive the RWD one wheel wonder first. I wrecked my 240 shortly after I bought it when I wasn't paying attention in the rain (suspension damage only).

Be careful, and don't send another S13 to the scrap yard.

You have to remember just having a car kind of drains your money with gas and maintenance. Also, since this is your first car you should expect to do some stupid first car mistakes. With accidents aside this can include driving around with retard ebay suspension the guy before you had till things fall apart.(Happened to me )

Not trying to crush your plans or anything but i had crazy engine swap plans when i was your age and im just now getting in a position where i can actually get my feet wet. Therefore, my advise would be focus on school and get a super job. Then you can pretend to be jay leno.

*ahem*

To the OP: More reading, less posting.

Period.

You'll get your respect in due time. This is not the place for you to be making demands.

Right now, you're a kid who hasn't turned a wrench. Most of the posters in this thread have built at least one solid modified car, some of us many more. Posting up a fat list of "plans" when you don't have a license or a job is just plain silly.

I suggest reading most of http://www.240sxTech.com, all the stickies in the 240sx section, as well as those in the CA18 forum. There's some good info on suspension setups, and you definitely could use a trip to the Wheel/Tire forum if you think you're gonna do anything but hard parking or pick up groceries with SportMax's.

No more lipping off - If you're being mistreated, a moderator will handle it. That hasn't happened yet, so read, learn, and enjoy.

Thanks.
