zap your *** in a heartbeat. the substations you see step down the 330KV to 13KV to feed your local power grid. the 13KV get slung around you neighborhood at the top of the pole [at the very top, youll see three heavy wires] along the grid you see grey cans that step down the 13KV to either 3 phase 240, or 3 phase 120, depending on how your neighborhood is set up. your house picks one phase off of the low side, or if there is only 240 on the pole, you get a transformer to step down to 120, and sometimes you get a 240 line also to feed high power stuff in your house.
next time you look at a utility pole, find the little metal tab on it that says "13KV" if it does, then the lines at the very top are 13KV
