Sure!I'm in Willingboro-Mt Laurel area all the time!
By the way, my dead miss went away after upgrading to premium gas. I thought it was related, but it may have been from a couple of long trips back to back to the shore (AC Expresssway-Parkway);
then it returned after some BP gas (which may or not be related).
Someone mentioned Tier 1 gasoline, so I filled up last night (from 1/2 tank) , and took it out for a good run.
I don't drive this car hard with 165,000 miles on it, nor do I drive hard or fast ANY car. (I did years ago: Mopar GTX - 440's, headers, 4:11 rears, trips etc then fast boats etc.)
But I gave this a kick, wide open and this car really screams. I did this 4 times last night and the miss is GONE! Didn't try it today yet.
I'm wondering if there are sticky valves, carbon build up? I don't think a half a tank of SHELL Tier 1 for a few miles did anything, but the kick in the butt DID, I think.
I've read the details of Tier 1 gas and there are different additives and concentrations, designed to keep parts CLEAN. MAYBE prolonged use of NON Tier 1 is causing more problems than I thought?
I've been driving fuel injected cars for 20 years now, regular gas, with never much thought about missfires that were anything other than periodic replacement of plugs and wires causing hestiation under a load; never injectors.
So my memory is refreshing the different kinds of missfires available... electrical (coilpacks now), fuel (injectors now), air-fuel mix (MAF sensor now), and sticky valves.... ?
I'll let you know.
I met Kieth VanMeter. GREAT guy, real knowledgeable and he explains things carefuly too. He listened with a stethescope to the injectors and can tell the difference between a good and bad one. I couldn't tell, but with some practice probably CAN. I wish he wasn't so far away.
