Well ran into the first problem ...

They didn't send a front clip only all the stuff from the front clip. As far as I can tell everything is there. They offer the option of pulling all the stuff out of the clip and shipping that to save space. I didn't choose that option but that's how my "clip" was shipped. I'm gonna email them to see what exactly went wrong there. I paid extra to have the full clip shipped and that's not what I got :(

I have to go to class now ... pictures on my return.

Well ... yes and no. It was not to include body panels and lights but it should have been a full front clip not all the stuff pulled from the clip.

We'll see what they have to say about it.

That's why everybody who knows about motor's is telling everyone else not to go out of the country to buy somthing. I'm sorry you got burnt, but don't say we didn't warn you. I really have little sympathy for people who have this happen to them. I'm not going to send 3,000 overseas on an 'if' just to save a few hundred bucks over a sure thing in the US. There are reasons these company's don't have shops over here, they don't want to deal with all the problems, that's what they have customers for.....

PaulOrlando, FL

And we do tell newbies that all the time, whenever they ask...but the insist on saving a hundred or two bucks...to me that money is well worth the piece of mind, knowing i have some sort of reconciliation if i get ripped off, and knowing im getting a quality motor...everyone trying to save a buck these days, so i have no sympathy for people ask for opinions, then ignore them and do what they want....Its pretty wellknown that Heavythrottle.com, Afterdark, and phase2 are very well recommended, and you tell people that, and they say "what about___ or ____?"....If they were recommended, wouldnt we have said that in the first place??? Geez, if u are so intent on saving abuck, you will most likely regret it at some point..

all these incomplete, not working, misleading engines and clips that are being purchased are NOT bought from any of the places we recommend....there is a reason we recommend them, and a reason they charge a little more...

We often say that these junkyard shops (ie FO) are just pickingt the first 10 motors they see to ship, not going from place to place, and pikcing outt he best 10 motors...cause they can care less since its being shipped oversees IMO.

Some quick snaps are here: http://www.jlab.org/~beng/car/sr20det

If there's anything else you want me to take a picture of let me know.

Now if my downpipe would come in I'd be good to go :) I ordred that through Enjuku ... is that ok with everyone? :pface

Hey Eng, can you do me a favor?

Can you check and see if your SR fan shroud aligns correctly with the U.S KA radiator? Does it seem to fit? Do you think its possible to use the SR fan shroud on KA radiator? I am just too eager to know.

Thanks a lot!!!

Not really sure how I'm supposed to check that. The KA shroud is completely in the way.

I'll look it over more carefully tomorrow afternoon though.

If you either get a SR radiator or aftermarket fans this would be a non-issue though ;)

Hey Eng, that was a fast reply!

Well, the problem is that my car is a s14 and my clip is from the s13.

I cannot use the radiator from the s13 clip. But I want to use the stock clutch fan, so I figured that the solution is to use the SR fan shroud and put it on the s14 KA radiator.

I have thought about getting electric fans, but I really want to save the money and use the stock clutch fan.

It would be great if you can get back to me on this issue! Thanks a lot!

Ok ... better pictures of the motor are up.

Same link as before http://www.jlab.org/~beng/car/sr20det/ engine+transmission.jpg engine_angle.jpg and engine_rear.jpg

Just got refunded the differnce from getting a full front clip compared to getting a pull. So that problem has been resolved. If you're strapped for cash hardcore and EXTREMELY patient FO isn't so bad.

Let me know if you want any other pictures taken. It should be getting installed weekend after next. So then we'll know if it actually works ...

lemme get this strait, you live in new york and you ordered from Flash Options in malaysia (i know i spelled it wrong) instead of Heavy Throttle which is in your state? You have better settle in for the long haul cause you wont see a motor for a long time.
