Drifting.com,

I am a proud owner of a bone stock S14. I plan on swaping in a S14 SR20DET in the near future. I want an extremely reliable motor so I plan on replacing all the internals gaskets pumps belts seals rings etc. etc. (Brand new Bone stock motor) before the transplant. I have never embarked on such an endeavour so your DVD should be of great help. Either the SR swap into the S14 chassis or the SR20DET rebuild DVD would pertain to my scenario. Preferably the Rebuild DVD.

Since engine transplants and rebuilds are both new to me I will review your work as a new DIY'er and put your DVD's content to the ultimate test. My review would represent the inexperienced and sometimes hesitant DIYer community (which I believe is a large part of your Target market).

Thank you,dohc_16.

p.s - let me know....if not I'll probably just be another customer

please continue to post

the selected members should post their reviews within 3-5 days

we do not cover the S14 chassis wiring, however our DVD can help with the rest of the swap

My cylinder head is what I'm finishing now. So far, ported and polished, decked, 3-angle, BC valves/springs/retainers. All done myself, just need to finish measuring shim clearance and buy my cams.

Ive rebuilt a few motors before. I would definitely be willing to review the SR motor build DvD for you. I cant promise a good review as I am incredibly, as my friends would say, anal, but I will definitely be honest. Ive had an SR20 for 4 years now, I know its ins and outs better than I ever thought I would, a total rebuild is basically the only thing I haven't done. I tend to get a little long winded, just check out one of my write ups.

PS I am ASE certified in Engine repair, Manual Transmissions/Transaxels, Electronics systems, Brakes, and Steering/suspension. So I can give a very accurate and professional review.

NOTES:-if you want to know what we cover then refer to the parts list and the screen shots-the ending is almost as abrupt as the last Sopranos,

-the valve/valve spring replacement is not documented, but if you want to learn more about heads then our RB Head DVD will have you covered

we will pick more winners soon, and if you don't make it this round then try again,

I would like to toss my hat into the ring for the DVD review opportunity. I have an s13 SR in my '93 hatch. I hold a Master's Degree in English (composition) and wrote abstracts professionally for McGraw-Hill Publishing Company while teaching Comp at Western Illinois University. I also have a very nice SLR digital camera and am a pretty good amateur photographer. Some of my pics can be found in my build thread here:

I some some experience with automobiles from the classes i took at the community college. Im currently in high school and i would like to review one of your DVD's. My dream is to swap an SR20 into an S13 and tune that sucker up. With my little experience in motor swapping, if i were selected to review your DVD, i could provide a review from a beginner's point of view. I think it would be better having a person with little to no motor swapping experience to review the DVD because it will show how much information the DVD provides and the understandability of the DVD. If I do get selected ill try to give as much feedback as i can, and I'll try to elaborate on how much i learned, and how easy the information is handed out in the DVD.
