Found out why my sr made so much power

Talk to 240sx motoring and the told me to see if the ecu had been tuned. Well had it cracked open. and sure enough its been tuned. It has been tuned by blitz. It can be retuned but im going aem standalone. Next move right now is a new turbo. its now blowen just want a biger one.

Just got my numbers from my dyno run. On 17psi and no tune. The mighty sr20 made 286hp and 290 tq to the wheels. With a tune ill be over 300 to the wheels. HEHE

Claims those numbers on stock turbo, injectors, and MAF. Maybe on an S15 SR but it's a redtop.

sounds like the dyno shop is showing bogus numbers. if he had s15 injectors and turbo, then i would say yes. On the MAF, i had a stock s14 maf and still made 360whp. dont know if the s13 is any different though. just my 2cents.

17 psi on T25.... no wonder your turbo decided to say good bye... yes those numbers seem way too high for a T25 on stock injectors and stock maf..

to the poster above... 360RWHP on s14 maf???? Was that a typo??. S13 maf S14 maf same thing.

btw...dynos will mess up...cause the first time i dynoed my 240 sr...we got 210 hp but like 480ft/lbs...definitely not right unless i got some kind of jesus edition sr20...

oh and all of this would be possible on s15 stuff...cause my s15 did 250hp and 260ft/lbs on one bar with all of those mods...1 bar is like 14.7 lbs...so definately possible at 17lbs

no typo, stock s14 maf @ 360whp. i had a Z32 installed but it was messing up my idle, so the dyno shop said i didn't really need it. they installed the stock maf, idle was good, pulled it and made 360. it blew my whole theory on maf's after that. it was totally maxed out though.

i just remember looking at the tuner guy with both maf's in hand and i was like, there just in NO way you can pull that much air thru the stock hole. He said trust me. Gave me the 360, so i guess he was right. That's all it was worth though. Just food for thought.
